Didn't want to solve the vertical drill jumps for myself because repetitive and random.
just a question: how do the vertical drill jumps differ from any other obstacles in various maps?

every map has same steps: try different jumps, memorize them, do them all without losing a turn.

so if we go with ur logic, every battlerace map that has ever existed is repetitive and random
something about how vertical drill jumps are blind or wtf
ok how did I get up the vertical drill hole first try? I watched carefully what pixels looked like they could be reached with either enter/bank enter/double enter/bank double enter/backflip/bank backflip

carefully observing the map made me get up the vertical drill hole first try without any guessing or blind jumps
blind luck, good fortune, well done.

i can make a drill section and host it up for you, we can test this theory.   can combine drill sections from ssm map and your maps.  I'm interested to see the results.  let me know when you are ready.

there are many obstacles that players don't solve with their first try. so if someone doesn't solve drill jump first try why is it different than not solving some other obstacle first try? I can't see ur logic |=

so you could say: "blind luck, good fortune, well done." after solving any obstacle lol

I think you are falling into the fallacy of generalization, which you revert to instead of addressing the points I made.  Whether I am wrong or I am right, I was suggesting a simple experiment to test the weight of your argument, which you want nothing to do with, for whatever myriad of reasons you might have.

I also listed several other talking points as to why I feel the way I do, but instead of responding to them, you come full circle back to the "well then every battlerace map ever is random," or "why is it different than some other obstacle" blanket response.  I never even suggested you had to solve these string of drill sections flawlessly to prove your point, you injected that in there yourself.

Okay, I get it, you disagree with me, but this post hoc generalization you are relapsing into over and over has nothing to to do with the failure of my logic, whenever one falls victim to hasty generalizations they are abandoning logic, in this man's opinion.

walrus admitted not being able to solve this map by himself so any records by him are rejected

Fair enough, wasn't really planning on it anyways, figured I'd get around to it at some point but it really wasn't looking like it was going happen by the deadline.  If I follow your logic, ssm should be disqualified as well (he shouldn't be) because he isn't "solving" the map in the confines of this challenge, as he designed each and every jump.

That being said, you are absolutely misconstruing what I said, I don't know if it is deliberate or not.  I hope you don't have an agenda because I quite like these challenges, and think it is good for battlerace as a whole to have these going on on TUS.  Any exposure this scheme can get is good, it has always been my favorite.  I foresee myself submitting some times on these in the future, so I hope you won't freeze me out because we have a difference of opinion.

At the end of the day, this is all nerd talk about battlerace mechanics on a worms forum, so I'm not even sure why I typed up paragraphs about this, maybe I am becoming more long winded like komo after hanging around here for so long.

remember back when kiddy posted a public replay to this challenge that is supposed to have hidden replays and I asked him to remove that replay and yet you post a trolly post of how u appreciate the replay that shudn't been post in the first place

conclusion: u came to this topic trolling, it didn't end as u thought it would and now u r playing the victim.

So you do have an agenda, thought so.  I try and make good with you, and you have a butthurt reaction about something that happened a week ago.  I'm the victim?  I'm not sure the word means what you think it means.

Why not just come out and say it instead of internalizing it with a week of sideways posts?

Let's be friends again. :-*

It's not a thing, easy to get a little overly serious about your worms, happens to me all the time, did a bit of that in this thread.

Feel free to PM in the future, doubt you can do any worse than all the abusive pm's taner used to send me though. ;)
