Mostly just did this to figure out how sid did it, some ambitious grinder could probably get this down to 1 sec but im done with this map after 20 mins of attempts

I attached a notable replay

Impressed by the times...

Are you sure you don't have destructible terrain on?  :D

Don't want to look at replays to see the solution for now.

I think I've figured out the way used by top 3, indeed requires some grinding... It's no secret that it's the rope grinding specifically because see Nonentity record. :D

.5 sec is quite amazing tbh, that is some very fast mouse input

What mouse input?  Teleport directly to finish is the input? When you see that distance, even fly directly by rope take longer time. Even jump for put rope or bungee is longer. Play it as boom race with "tools assisted" is longer too, grenades are 1 sec minimum. Have this done to 0,5 sec can be only by let the timer reach 999, then it begin from 0 and you can touch platform at that time. Stupid bug, not really challenge.  :'(

edit: or maybe you play only in retreat time which is not count? Then it could be possible... For that are there weapons. Sorry, I am new here.  ;)

edit2: 0k, so if retreat do not count, then I did it at 8,1 seconds, and I will not try more (I could rotate girder by other way, and use some slowdown program to spend time... but it is not my style). My first, the slowest attempt was in one turn done, 25,78 seconds. ;D Will be extra prize for done in one turn?

edit3: 5,00 seconds! I can not be faster, I am noob.  :P

edit4: I can not stop trying. 4,38 with different method (and could be 3,82 when girder not beeps ;)). Without cheating.
Spoiler! View
No paused keyboard buffer to send all pre-pressed keys without pause at once, no touchscreen to put girder immediately where want, no slowdown for mouse and keyboard things... only normal game speed, normal cheap keyboard and mouse.

Retreat time is not counted towards the score, which is why we have these submissions with very short times! :D

On another note: I plan to post roughly a challenge a week until all of them are on TUS! So, stay tuned!!

Truth. Finger rolling could also help with girder rotation though  :D

- You must complete this challenge within 60 seconds (excluding retreat time).
- Less time used for challenge completion ranks higher.

It just occurred to me that these rules do not technically say that retreat time is excluded from the ranking criteria, only from the "within 60s" rule.

True winners of the challenge are those who never participated, since they used 0 seconds for challenge completion. The grinders should naturally be ranked last.

The wording was taken from the original TCB submission, and I know it's not perfect at times. So, I'll go with this: retreat time is not counted towards the final score (and obviously, challenge completion needs to occur for a replay to be valid).

Sorry LTK, these times seemed outrageous so I did the troll one for the laughs. Can just remove it. Although, tehnically, I nailed it.
