Welcome to one of the most elaborate and imaginative maps ever made for W:A. Tower of failures is a behemoth of a map with many unique technical parts and plenty of well designed sections for fast roping. It took the creator DonMega one year to create the map so I have set an expiration of one year for this challenge.

Use the attached scheme file and use 3 worms. Parachute trick (descending from edge and climbing) is allowed. You can surrender when you want and still submit your time, but with a time penalty for not finishing. Shortcuts are allowed. The illustrations on the map that show how to do some sections are suggestions only, you can do them how you want. Touch the green floor in the podium section to finish.

I have split the map into 9 zones
The map zones are as follows:
Red    1
Green  2
Cyan   3
Purple 4
Yellow 5
Pink   6
Blue   7
Black  8
White  9

Not reaching the finish does not come at no cost. The penalty for surrendering, turn ending or losing all your worms before finishing is determined like this: (10 - zone number) * 10,000 seconds.
An example of a run where someone got to the end of zone 1 in 200 seconds: (200 + [10 - 1] * 10,000) seconds = 90,200 seconds. If you are unsure submit your time and I will add the penalties if there are any.

The result is rounded down to the nearest frame.

what is chute trick? cheesing a section with chute only? what if you allow it but punish it?

mental checkpoints:
Red      1 ✅
Green   2 ✅
Cyan     3 ✅
Purple   4 🚧

doing runs

- purple and yellow are going to be huge chokepoints for me, cuz the tight climbs are very inconsistent for me, there's a good chance i trip while climbing for some reason
- red, pink, and cyan are cheeseable
- green is easy if you know how to do fly trick
- section between red and green requires skims, then you can cheese it with some somewhat precise maneuvers
- yellow requires some precise flys, otherwise you lose a lot of time
- 1st half of blue is probably cheesable, or at least there are couple ways to do it, but i haven't found a way to execute it yet
- didn't look at black and white yet, got frustrated and gave up for now

Here is an example of parachute trick used in the transition between zone 1 and 2:

I don't allow parachute trick because it allows you to climb vertical surfaces. This breaks many tower maps by making unintended shortcuts possible at a low risk.
Here are some ways to enter zone 2 without ldet, anti-sink and parachute trick:
Surf strategy:

1. Go to the end of the ledge until the worm goes down a few pixels
2. 1 frame up arrow press to start the swing
3. Hold right arrow at this point
4. Release the rope when it's vertical or close to vertical

I changed how this challenge works, please redownload the scheme file.
Now anti-sink, ldet and 3 worms is the default difficulty and parachute trick is allowed.
Participants who wish to make it more difficult should be rewarded instead of punishing those who want to play at normal rather than very hard.

The map is a lot of fun, please give it a try  :-*
