Scheme description:

The concept of Drive for Weapons or DFW is a combination of Driver and Walk for Weapons. It is a race in which each player has 2 worms and it has to use only 1 of these (Driver) to go driving the other (Stoned) throughout the circuit (just like Driver scheme) but this time the indestructible maps are filled with weapon sprites on the floor due to the mandatory rule of only using a weapon if the worm being controlled is adjacent to a sprite of that weapon (just like Walk for Weapons). The scheme was based on Boom for Weapons.

Challenge rules:

Play with two worms (same team), using the map provided here and the DFW scheme available on this page. Why not Time-Trial? Mainly because the utilities would last forever and the map was designed for 30 seconds turn time.

  • Place one worm at the ''Driver'' worm start and the other worm at the ''Stoned'' worm start (inside the Skunk Chamber).
  • The second worm is like a "ball". It cannot be controled. Only the driver worm is able to move the stoned worm (attacking it).
  • You can only use a weapon or utility if the driver worm is touching an area bounded to the weapon sprite. Sometimes the area is highlighted and determined, other times there are signs very close to an area, obvious enough to understand that the weapon should be used from that place. Teleport to teleport.
  • To finish the challenge, first it is necessary to leave the Stoned worm on the hospital roof, then the Driver worm needs to go home, plop Stoned twice in a row using Petrols, and then Driver must plop itself twice on the GG spot (Homing Missile). Only with the two worms eliminated from the game (after they reached their finishes and their team health bar disappear from the game) it will be a valid replay for the challenge.

All the 24 stages available on a big sign of the map must be completed (check TUS scheme page for a replay).

The fastest valid gameplay time will be the winner of the challenge. The time will be counted right after the two worms be placed on their corresponding start (when the very first turn starts running) and will be ended when the Driver worm be ploped 2 times in-a-row, when it touches the water on the second plop (officially eliminated from the game).

@Big Billy & Pinkman: Hey you both! Slowdown! You no need be first! GRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

@Pinkman: I never know if in that "MC mad cow beef race" can be released cows only when stand there up on cow image, or maybe from down too. Maybe its wrong release cows from bottom. Anyway, you made another mistakes: from hospital you can not use rope (rope is allowed from left side of boat I think). And in end, petrol can be throw only from its place, not from jetpack place. So if fail jetpack, return to petrol place for throw it. On end, aim missile on flames, which will plop worm twice and definitely (you not did it). Anyway nice from you for attempt. :)

btw in one game I killed-plopped stoned worm by baseball bat how fast I driven him to superbanana place but he fall to water. Game recognized it as double plop. :D

Ah damn, just noticed i made a mistake! Please delete ;(

Yes, as Danger already explained, you made actually 5 mistakes, so I deleted your replay. However it was a good run, congratulations. It would be 13.1 minutes ending at the moment you used surrender. You can now have a notion of your time in case you want to try another time.

Clarifying the mistakes:

1) You used Fast Walk at Mad Cows sprite on Mad Cows King's Beef Race area. You were supposed to use it only on the floor, above the fast food place.

2) You used Mad Cows at Fast Walk sprite on Mad Cows King's Beef Race area. You were supposed to use it from Mad Cows sprite or at least from that inclination, that I could consider.

3) You used Ninje Rope on Sheep Launcher area at the Hospital. Sheep Launcher can be used to push stoned to the edge of the hospital's roof, but that's not really necessary. What is necessary is to use it boomracing Driver to the boat, only from the boat you can start using Ninja Rope.

4) You used Petrol from Jet Pack sprite at home. You need to use it from the highlighted area (where there is a Petrol sprite, a white arrow and a line)

5) You used surrender at the GG spot. You need to plop your worm twice in-a-row, by exploding the homing missile from the back of the blooming branch, this will make the flamelets be pushed into Driver and it will sink twice in-a-row.

Number one and two wouldn't make so much difference on the gameplay. Numbers 3, 4 and 5 are serious mistakes.

Besides these mistakes, it was a fast run, all the other areas were fine and fast. Thanks for playing!

There is fast walk sprite on the floor so I could use it?! I though it is only decoration of map.   :P

If you look at the prototype map you'll see that Fast Walk was there since the beginning.

Just to clarify and to avoid more replay uploads with mistakes, I attached an image to show where the rope can be used on the boat. The map already indicates where the rope can be used, but I will reinforce.

Any other doubts can be asked here, I already uploaded a good didactic replay that can be watched as reference. I can make a new one with a tutorial written on the chat box if necessary.

And by the way, according to sbs calculations, it is possible to finish this map under 10 minutes, in a perfect run or using Tool Assist, he believes it is possible to end around 6 minutes.

I just checked your replays, Pinkman. Very nice run! You beat Danger, surely! Your first record was 12.43 min. Your second record was 11.2 min. However, I'm a bit frustrated because I still noticed two very small mistakes on your second record and on the first record there was 3 small mistakes. I attached an image to show the two mistakes that you made. The first is that after using homing missile, while falling to hit the chain with driver, you used the rope before touching its sprite. That saves a very small time and is almost insignificant mistake. The second is that you used Low Gravity with the baseball bat on the boat (and there is no Low Gravity sprite on the boat), only to push the worm to the dynamite part, there you did not use the low gravity which is ok. So it's a very minimal mistake you made, probably won't make much difference on the gameplay. The other mistake you made on that first replay you sent was that you used teleport at Skunk's sprite, you didn't walk into teleport sprite. That's also a minimal mistake and you fixed this mistake on your second record.

So all your 2 mistakes were very minimal mistakes that probably won't make much difference on your time, probably 2 or 3 seconds of difference only. I didn't want to make you play again only due to this, since nobody else is playing this challenge, I might accept your records, because you deserve it. It's just that I feel a bit bad because there are these minimal mistakes. The ideal would be that you send another record with everything without mistakes, but if you don't want to do this, I'll understand. I will talk with sbs to see what he has to say about this.

By the way, watching your replays, I noticed there's a minimal mistake with the map that I forgot to test with sbs. The wall on the right of the hospital (the very far right wall of the map) should have anti-slow-flames system like the very left area of the map. So the flames may take a good while to reach the water. That wall is not very big, though, but it interfered on one of your runs. Thanks for this, I will see what sbs has to say. Maybe it's something to consider a map fix update, but it's really a minor detail, nothing that ruins the game.

Thanks for the effort you put in checking those replays!

If i made mistakes, of course my records shouldnt count then! Would not be fair towards Danger and all those
who finish without mistakes. Rules are rules :p

I think, used low gravity on boat was BIG mistake. With low gravity it even do not need use dynamite, only bat can easily throw worm to hospital then. There is no LG on the boat, please accept it. LG is only on hospital, so only possibility have LG on boat is when it remain in one turn from hospital.
