Welcome to the Roper Cup

General information for those who do not know

Roper is a classic rope-based scheme in which each turn, the active player collects a health crate, then attacks other teams with the given infinite weapons (bazooka, mine and grenade). Given the short turn time (commonly 15 seconds), skill with the use of the Ninja Rope is advantageous. The water level is set in a way that allows weapons to sink through the bottom border but worms remain standing on it, a setting known as Water drops. This makes it difficult to quickly use a mine or grenade on a worm standing on the bottom of the map, but bazookas still explode on impact.

The rules for all are one:

1.Everyone knows two basic rules:
CBA (crate before attack)
AFR (attack from rope)
skip a move if one of the rules is violated
2. Blocking is not allowed
3. 1 worm in one command
4. Bazooka first - Players must attack only with bazooka on the first turn.
5. Map colors that are easy on the eye and a standard map for the roper (1920 x 696) for example:
https://www.tus-wa.com/maps/map-16859/
https://www.tus-wa.com/maps/map-16853/

The boundaries of the map must be closed

Tournament #1107, $10 Darts #1
« on: October 22, 2020, 03:51 PM »
The aim here is to sponsor and organize professional level Tournaments for Darts.

The plan is to host 1 each month, if it becomes popular enough, the prize will be larger.

Each Tournament will be announced roughly 1 month in advance so that players know which maps will be used and can practise as much as they want on those specific maps.

It is my belief that being able to practise in advance will raise the skill level and make for more interesting games.

Hope to see you next month!

That would be cool Hurz.

Also would like to note, I will not be participating myself, as will be moderating and streaming live.

The original plan was to have:

$15 - 1st
$10 - 2nd
$5 - 3rd

But feel like it's only worth it if we manage to get 16 players, in future if there is enough interest i'd like to do this.

Also, announcing a month in advance was chosen for several reasons, one, I know Alien is off for 2 weeks and don't want him to miss out, also wanted to host right after being paid, 22nd is the weekend after getting paid and Sundays seem better for people rather than Fridays or Saturdays.

But in future the Tournament would definitely be the Sunday after I get paid every month, perhaps in future it will be announced 2 weeks in advance though instead of a month if it feels like 1 month is too long to practise.
