Description:
The Long Desired Intermediate Cup

Heya people, it's been a while since the last Intermediate Cup, I thought now is the time for another. Everybody is free to participate regardless of skill level, clan, gender or race. The only requirement is that you are willing to play your games in given time.

Rules and Schemes

- Rules concerning glitches and map choice are same as the ONL rules and the ONL scheme is the only valid scheme.
- Games in the group stage are best of 3, best of 5 during play offs and best of 7 in the final.
- in case there will be people with same amount of points in a (finished) group the won/lost rounds will be considered. Won rounds minus lost rounds equals the difference. The player with the higher difference proceeds. If the difference is the same a tiebreaker will be played.

Deadlines

The deadline for group stage is set for July 17th 23:59 GMT. It is not possible to postpone a game beyond the deadline no matter how important your reason seems to be. Be smart and play your games right away.

Use this forum to arrange your games to enable a smooth monitoring and easier decision making if a walk over has take place.

Dear Mr Moderator, please replace the scheme with the one that has the ID 527. I asumed "Normal" scheme uploaded by Rafka was the ONL scheme with jetpack delay, but I was wrong. I couldn't replace it myself it would tell me that there is no such clan or community as "Jakka". :P

Jakka, you are Mr Moderator for this cup ;) If I'm correct, you can see a little modify link on the top of the page.
I changed it for you.

I took the chance and paired the groups when the number hit the 32 mark. I'm sorry for everyone who maybe wanted to participate as well.

Smart pairing didn't work out the way I imagined  ::) but we will have to roll with it.

DEADLINE

Since the sign ups went pretty quick I am setting the deadline for the group stage for July 17th 23:59. After that no game results will be accepted and I repeat there won't be any possibilities of postponing a game beyond the deadline mark I won't care for any reason, so play smart and think in advance.

Hmm, what group do you think of? IMO group 6 is the strongest.

I agree, the result of the draw is a bit unfortunate for some groups, but that's something we will have to deal with this time. Next time (if there will be) I will devide the participants up into 4 "pots" according to their skill level and suggest the admins to make a (better) seeded draw putting one player from each pot into one group.

To be honest they look pretty fair to me with the exception of the bottom group. Lots of good players participating. Maybe swap a couple of players from the bottom group into the other ones.

Yeah, NAiL, I could've done that. :) But I was inactive a fairly long time and want to test the waters a bit if you know what I mean. The best shall prevail no matter what.

Nah! Objectivity ne1?! It doesn't matter if a pseudo pro meet a better player in 1/8 finals or in group stage.

Zoky, I'm sorry for Tade, but I've already spoken my final word and this time we will live or die with these groups. Now get on playing. :)
