Finished

Description:
It's been a while since a tournament with this scheme has been hosted, so I feel the time is ripe!

The rules for this cup are quite simple. It's basically timetrial: place your worms at the start, rope to the finish. You'll have 3 worms each and worm gets one attempt to reach the finish.

Be nice with your placement! Don't get in the way of your opponent and such. Try not to stack the worms if it's possible.
If you lose time because your opponent ignored this or by accident (it happens!), just unstack the worms, aim your rope horizontal, skip turn and you can still have your turn with that worm. If you lose time and leave the start, that's your choice and you won't be allowed to go back to start and try again with that worm.

You have to activate low gravity every turn *before* you start roping. If you forget to activate it, rope back to the start, aim your rope horizontal and skip turn: you'll get another try with that worm.

The worm with the lowest turn time wins! If no worm finishes, the worm that got furthest will win.
The games will be best of 3, both in the group phase and in the knockout phase.

Map choices: no oneturners of the classic RR schemes and no abnormally huge maps (we don't want turns of 300 seconds as the winning time).

If you can't reach your opponent on WN, msn, IRC and whatnot: use the PM function on this site. Everybody is signed up here, so there's no excuse for not using that!

If you sign up, I suggest practicing this a bit offline, since LG RR is not the same as slomo RR. That's about it!

Knockouts have started now!

I want to see more activity in getting your games played (this means activity that I can actually see!)
Use the forums, use the PM function (and send me a carbon copy, so I can actually see you're doing your best!)

And most of all, report your games when they're played (I'm looking at you, Dibz!)

12 people so far though, Ray :) that's not too bad, is it?

Glad you like it, beer! I started doing low gravity RR after the people I usually play with kept picking the same map and I didn't feel like racing it in a normal way anymore :)
volrin approved of it as well! He even said it takes more control to master lg rr than it does normal rr

If Dibz still plays W:A he should definitely enter the cup. He was as fast with lg rr as he was with normal RR :o

Make it rrkit darkone! Dibz surely knew how to handle the lg indeed. He still plays, but I don`t know if he has got enough commitment at the moment to get the games done   :-X

DarkOne is this bo3 or bo1? Just played my game vs. Ray and we played it bo3 but didnt report it yet.

Let's make it bo3 since the games are much shorter than in usual schemes :)

Thanks for pointing out this little omission!

Guys, if you won 2-0 you should also report a 2-0... In the end the standings will be calculated by who won the most single games, so if 2 players have a 2-1 win-loss ratio the one who won more single games will be 1st. Means that if player A played 2-0;2-0;1-2 he will be 1st while player B who played 2-0;2-0;0-2 will be second. MonkeyIsland will have to fix that now.

Edit: hm seems like its actually now decided by who got the most wins, coz i would be on 1st place then...
