Description:
Winner Takes The Hamilton Cup

Heya people, there I am again, finally. The time has come for another of Jakka's Cups. And this time, to spice it up a little, winner takes $10! Of course it's almost nothing, but I'm doing it anyway just for the sake of it. So don't be shy go go! But keep in mind, just like the last time, I will not babysit anyone.

Participants

Everybody is free to participate regardless of skill level, clan, gender or race. The only requirement is that you are willing to play your games in given time. Do NOT sign up if you have doubts you are able to play ALL games within the time limit. If you don't agree on any of the following rules, do not sign up then as well.

Rules and Schemes

- Rules concerning glitches and map choice are same as the ONL rules and the ONL scheme is the only valid scheme.
- Games in the group stage are best of 3, best of 5 during play offs and best of 7 in the final.
- in case a group is not finished activity is prefered over win/loss ratio. (eg: player 1 played all group games and lost all | Player 2 played 2 games and won both | still player 1 proceeds into KOs)
- You are obliged to let a streamer join your game if he asks for it. (Whether it is Alex13, me or anybody else)
- in case there will be people with same amount of points in a (finished) group the won/lost rounds will be considered. Won rounds minus lost rounds equals the difference. The player with the higher difference proceeds. If the difference is the same a tiebreaker will be played.

Deadlines

After the sign ups I will set a deadline of two or three weeks for the group stage. The KO stages will have only one week each. Just like the last time there is no way of postponing the deadline no matter how good your excuse is, so think in advance and play your games right away! If needed I will make walk overs as I please.

Prize

1st place - $10

Use this forum to arrange your games to enable a smooth monitoring and easier decision making if a walk over has to take place.

Have fun

Hey guys! Sadly I'm out of town for the summer for a week already. I check in every now and then to see the progress, but I don't think our main streamer - kalababa - does the same. I'll pass him a note about your arrangement and hope he will find time on Saturday 20GMT.

At last it's over, I won 4-3 against Dario, and there was one tie. Pretty damn tense games, we both turned it around on each other a couple times, Dario game back from pretty bad positions in round 3 or 4 I think it was. Nice playing Dario, and thanks Jakka for hosting this, I'm proud to have earned the Hamilton cup! I assume it's named after this guy? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Rowan_Hamilton

Great job guys! You finished one week ahead of schedule! Congratulations Mablak on winning it! 4:3 and one tie sound extremely tense, I will watch the games as soon as I get the required "infrastructure", har-har.
Please confirm that you indeed want me to donate that huge amount of prize money! And I will.

Overall the cup ran very smoothly and I am very pleased and satisfied with it. I want to thank everyone who put effort to make it the success it was!

You will hear from me. Bai!

Good job Mablak.
Very nice cup handling Jakka :)
Due to massive misunderstandings: MonkeyIsland refers to an island not a monkey. I would be a monkey, if my name was IslandMonkey meaning a monkey who is or lives on an island. MonkeyIsland is an island which is related to monkeys. Also there's been a legend around saying MonkeyIsland is a game. So please, think of me as an island or a game.
