Finished

Description:

How it works:
1. Each game is 5 rounds. Except the final, that one is 7 rounds.
2. Play the rounds like normal TTRR; on 5 different maps.
3. Each player gets 4 (!) worms.
4. After each round you write down the difference in times. At the end of the 5 rounds you count all the time differences together and decide who is the winner.
5. The match is instantly stopped when one of the players loses by 7 seconds or more (that includes plopping all worms). This player has lost the game, no matter what the score was up to that point.
6. Once finished, the winner reports the game as 1:0 (and not 3:2 or 5:0 or whatever).

Example:
1st round: player A scores 82; B scores 80. (A gets +2 secs)
2nd round: player A scores 70; B scores 73 (B gets +3) (total score = +1 sec for B)
3rd round: A scores 64; B scores 65 (B gets +1) (total score = +2 sec for B) (as in, player B is 2 seconds behind)
4th round: A scores 93; B scores 86 (A gets +7 secs) => round is lost by 7 seconds by player A. Player A is terminated cos 7-sec rule. 5th round is cancelled.
Winner of the match: player B.

More rules:
= Play a 6th round if the score is still equal after the first 5.
= Please mention in your report what the score was (in each round). (in the comments)
= Equal points in group stage = count seconds to see who goes through.
= Maps must be approved by both players.

Have fun  :)

I hope this is not too confusing. I know most of you RR'ers have some experience, so it shouldn't be too much of a prob. Questions in comments  ;)

HHC

okay, congrats Dulek, guess you're the badass of RR now  ???

and Barman the lazyass  ;D

GG's all. Gl in the elite one  ;)

Ryan

Yep, gg Dulek, well done :)
Was annoyed at myself in the 3rd game but you played well every game and thoroughly deserved to win, very good RR'ing.

Also thanks HHC for hosting the cup. I think everyone will agree it's a very good format for rr and there should continue to be more cups like it :)

HHC

Good to hear Ryan, I didnt play myself, so I wouldnt know what it's like  :)

I'll probably do another one sometime soon (also need to host a Roper one sometime  :-[). We can do the same formula then or something else out of the ordinary.

Ryan

The formula did a good job promoting speed, having that 4th worm led to some fast runs.
At the same time, consistently performing was more important, you could lose by +1 each round but still be in the game if opponent has a bad round.

Look forward to future tournaments.

Crazy

Yea, great job HHC, I gave you/the cup a 5 out of 5 here. Congrats Dulek, and also Ryan! 2nd place in "comeback" is very solid!
