I didn't know the existence of this kind of pizza, and now I'm curious, maybe one day I'll try it and think about the Brazilian Calabresa  :P

It might be "fake", but I can assure you it is very tasty. It seems that the sausage style was taken from Portugal's style of Sausage (Linguiça). And then they borrowed some things from Italy (Calabrese or whatever), later modifying it with stuff from Brazil. That's what we call Linguiça Calabresa here (you should try it if you ever visit Brazil).

Now I want to try the Italian Calabrese hehe. I agree with Kaleu that it looks like a Salami. By the way, in my city there is a special salami created by a family in a city that is probably where there are the most Ukrainian immigrant descendants in Brazil: Prudentópolis. And here in my state there are a lot of polish immigrant descendants, they loved that salami and started to call it "Kraków" (in tribute to the city), so we call it "Salame Cracóvia" (Kraków Salami).

It is made with Pork/Pig/hog meat:
