When the rope vibrates it makes a musical note, but it's hard to hear. I have pitched it up here to make it easier to hear the notes :D

Yes, exactly what I tried to convey, nice vid :)

Vibrato is a regular pulsating change of pitch, that isn't regular, the pitch only changes when you extend and contract the rope, even when you do extend and contract the rope you are actually making it more like arpeggio than vibrato.
I am wrong about it not being musical though, it does have rhythm, you could sample it and do all sorts with it etc.
But it's definitely 100% not vibrato.
