That excuse will no longer be valid. Replays take up almost no space and even if you want to delete your replays, it's your responsibility to report your games before you format your computer and whatnot.
If you report a free win, because you can't find the replay for the game, bad luck: game will be voided.

wow of course :D, gj 8)

D1, this is highly insane.
Bugs happens, the game cant be avoid bacause this.
Windows 7 always bugs the games.
Avoid games who it was played fairly mean lazy to understand it.
-
you think your system is going to crash, and you will lose all files on your computer in between the game ending, and reporting on TUS?....
suuuuuuuuuurrreeeee

so why do i have windows 7 and i get the replays normally? o.o

That's no advantage to you if I win the game, because then you don't need your replay (if you want to watch it again you can still download MY uploaded replay)
Sorry, that was pathetic XD :P
But back to the topic: If you know that your games has bugs and doesn't save your replays fix your game or/and OS before u play tus.
(I heard that Windows 7 has too many bugs, but I'm sure that replayproblem would be fixable, or? ;))
-
when u miss some replay because using windows 7, dont complaint.
I lost some replays in the past, but the players who i played sent me by msn - except Artic in TRL Season 4, coz Artic.
Fairplay question.
-
You should atleast take care of install WA in C:/ folder
If you are sure that you did, i do not know... but it happened to me when I changed the installation folder.

Yeah, thats nice from the people who sent the replays to you, good job! Then just don't play vs unfair people who would complain about a fairly lost game and not sending the replay.
-
its kinda simple.
if u played a game but u havent the replay, just ask ur mate to send u.
Create a rule "no replay no report no points" will stimulate the unfairplay.
-
And MonkeyIsland stimulated me at the BigRopeRace Condoms map, porra :D

I'm sorry, I've started taking haloperidol. I feel much better.
The rule still stands, though. I'll ask Cybershadow if he knows about the issue you mention, but it's strange that replays are made usually, but sometimes there's a bug.
-
Common issue but only if you install the game to C:\Program Files (x86)\ or similar. Everyone who's got issues with replays not being saved properly install the game to some different path, i.e. C:\Games\. I like this step, there really is no excuse for "losing replays".
-
I never lost any games, I've been using Windows 7 for years. Only exception were the games in which some pathetic German fool beat me very unfairly. Wonder who that could have been... ::)
-
I had this bug.

same here.
-
Guess I'm going to have to stop being so lazy now.
-
But how fixed this bug?

Like that.
-
I can confirm Win7 doesn't delete the replays, never had any issue with it.
-
Never had problems with replays in win7 too. This rule is completely fair, since everyone could say that his hard disk f@#!ed up or that his brother deleted the folder accidentally, or any other excuse.
-
I have experienced a bug concerning replays quite a few times, not sure what happens but for some reason the last few hundred games in my replay folder don't appear. If you restart your comp and check the folder again they should be back.
-
guys, I lose more than I win... I'm using windows 7
-
Oh i repait this bug with replays.
I just reinstall my worms to x86folder with update.
EDIT:But i still sometimes lost some games.
Why?
-
Because you're too dumb to read. Sorry for being so straightforward, read again please. ::)
-
Don't insult me child.
I f@#!ed up english little.
And i dont read your post.
Now i'm read so i try fix it.
But what dumbass sorry for insult make that bad patch?
-
hi Adiox, try to install ur WA in C:/
-
Okey i go try I have install w:a in C:/ but in x86.
I go install that like daRkz say.
-
if u install in x86 probably windows wont record ur replays because this folder needs admin privilegies.
It's possible to record ur replays in this folder, but u ll need to click right button above wa icon, select the guide "compatibilitty" and after make sure the box "execute this program as administrator" is checked.
:-\ choosing this option u wont able to minimize the game :-\
check also: https://www.tus-wa.com/forums/worms-armageddon/win-7-cannot-restore-from-minimized/

Don't make things too complicated here Professor, he's already at his limit. He should just do what I said and it's all good. :D

well then I don't know why my setup is considered so lucky, I have WA installed in my x86 program files and I haven't lost a single replay or any problem with minimizing.
but if people have success installing out of all program files folder completely, like in C:/ then I'll start recommending that from now on instead :) gj adiox in fixing this finally :p

If you have a user account with admin priviliges then you have the answer why. :) It's only a problem if you have set up a user account with no admin rights, which is kinda the way to go, for security reasons.

Nope. franz may have disabled the UAC. Being an admin on the PC doesn't mean having admin privileges. By default, you need to elevate them every time an admin-required program is about to be executed. It's a technique to protect from malware (for example, on windows xp - you click a virus - and gg, you are instantly infected. and here you can be less paranoid about checking the file with anitivirus or whatever).

sounds like something I'd do. maybe I'm the only one who doesn't want to hear those warnings all the time

Hi, just dropped by and noticed this thread.
If you can't find a replay file, and you installed W:A in a directory protected by Windows (e.g. Program Files), try this:
- Open the Run box (Win+R, or Start -> Run), and type: %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore
- There you should find folders with the same name as some from C:\, e.g. Program Files. From there (i.e. don't go back to C:\), browse to the location you installed W:A.
- Open User\Games as usual. There, you'll find replay files that W:A was unable to save due to not running as administrator while installed in a protected directory.
If you can't find any of the above directories, this specific solution most likely does not apply to you.
Note that running W:A as administrator is not recommended. To properly fix this problem and prevent it from happening again, reinstall W:A outside Program Files (e.g. under C:\Games or C:\Team17).
-
We've been getting some free win reports cause of no replay. Just because this announcement was made a while back does not mean it no longer applies!
If W:A doesnt save replays, it's your responsibility to fix it. I use windows 8 and I have no problems at all with replays. So it's a problem that can be fixed. If you decide you dont want to go through the effort, that's your choice, but then t's your responsibility to get the replay from your opponent.
