100$ is enough for 1 season! Better break it down in smaller parts for the next season, ae

Btw:

This will kill clanners, btw. Noone is going to waste time (and money) by playing clanners except the very few people like me that enjoy clanners more than singles. I think you should at least give clanners a little love too or else you can probably disable clan league in a year with 0 games played.  :(

After 11 days:

We are in the 11th day of season #40
580 singles have been played by 64 players so far.
2 clanners have been played by 2 clans so far.

Estimate: 3,173 singles, 10 clanners

I called it.

eac already showed general activity has no relation to clanning.

money prizes on worms! its an unprecedented event! but we do not use the opportunity money give us!
the only change at the moment: old players is more active. because they know whats going on in tus.. news doesnt spread among newbies tho

but thats not hard to fix!

for instance:
there is news on wormnet, last news was posted in 2012, why is that?

tus got money prizes, pretty good news no? its greatest news we had in years, im asking wormnet mods, put the link of this topic on news

Also: can somebody host a bot, he will spam about tus and host game in #ag with name "tus-wa.com - free W:A league with $$$" or smth like that

Because the way things are set up now, every WormNET news entry has to go through Team17 and their network department who then have to update things on the server directly. It also wouldn't shock me if they had legal or moral or emotional objections to advertising cash money prizes not offered by them inside their own game; it'd be kind of risky from their perspective, their legal department would likely shout at them.

nice suggestions impossible. IF someone can set all of that would be great. Like KRD said probably best to avoid the actual advert on tus, doubt they would do it but could be worth a try?

3 of the additional prizes currently have nominations already :)
Still looking forward to more nominations, as well as our first 'best turn' and 'best commentary' nominations.

Current nominations for the additional prizes:

24 days left - it's a bit sad that nobody wants to put even a little bit of effort in putting together a commentary for a game.

How the prize is split
There are some suggestions for how to split the prize. Such as:

- Standings #1 (20$)
- Playoffs qualification spot (8 x 10$)
- Playoffs runner-up (20$)
- Playoffs winner (100$)

i think that we can split it of best form, 100$ look so much for 1st player compared with others places

maybe something like

-PO qualification spot (8x10$)
-Players in semi (4x10$)
-2nd place 20$
-1st place 60$

Really the 1st will won 80$ and the 2nd 40$

its just a idea xD someone agree?  :P

Additional news for the current season: Senator has donated 15 USD as additional prize money for this season :)

He hasn't given us any instructions on how this money should be sent, but the most logical options would be either as additional prize money for the winner or as additional prize money for the #1 in standings.
My guess it would be for the playoffs winner, but go ahead and correct me, Senator!
