i'm not the most active player and i never played as much league aerial as some folks on here but i think i know the scheme a decent bit and i would like to ask some questions, not in the "questioning the choice" sense but asking due to ignorance.

why is this scheme bo3 now? or was it always bo3? i remember it being bo3 in cups but what about leagues
*You can demand Bo1 but in that case the opponent has the right to start.
isn't it better to make it bo1 on mutual agreement? this is a bit funky
- Sudden death added (middle level of water rise)
good, this should fight endless darksiding (like in hysteria cough cough)
- Mines switched from random to 3 seconds
okay i am actually surprised this change wasn't implemented before, people have been complaining about it for a long time
- Uzi removed
- Mortar ammo switched from 4 to 2
- Petrol ammo switched from 4 to 2
the last two are understandable for me, but what about the first one?

Yeah there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to have Aerial as Bo3.

And crates should be taken out as well as it just adds unnecessary luck to the scheme, the arguments of "it doesn't happen as much as you think" is a farce, the fact is it happens, and when it happens it changes the outcome of the game, especially when they get a really good weapon or even extra health.

this should fight endless darksiding (like in hysteria cough cough)

Hysteria is one of the most balanced schemes of all time the way it is.

You can force sudden death and water rise within 10 turns by using up your turn time, then the water rises fast enough. You could do this from the very start of the game and have SD within 5 minutes if you want!

If people want to darkside, they can, if they want to force SD and make the game faster, they can,  if they want to pile and use strategy to get back in a game where they had a bad start... They can!

That's why Hysteria is so good, it's such an impressively balanced and skilled scheme.

Anyway, this feels to me that it's Sensei's personal favourite way of playing based on what he likes, as opposed to what makes the scheme more balanced and skill based for everyone.

who said luck is unnecessary? this is just an opinion i assume? it happens and that's a fact but who decided it is "unnecessary"?

*citation needed*, and massively offtopic by the way.

how many people have excensively played and somewhat "mastered" aerial? it would be nice to hear their opinions

aerial is good as it is now imo, leave it be (: most of the times you get skunk, blowtorch, mortar from the weaponcrates so its not a big deal. active aerial players know this

HOWEVER if you get napalm/air strike/pigeon/banana.. it can go 2 ways

1) you have all the right and reason to be angry for nicely and nearly bng-ing the opponent to death, only to get napalmed to the water in the end and thus lose the round

2) player a) has 4 worms spawned on the top of the map, player b) has all 4 worms on the bottom. this happens from time to time. since you're likely f*cked, cuz of positions and SD coming, it's nice to have some luck factors coming in with crates

Gabriel - uzi removed cause it becomes OP if players manage to reach last few turns of water rise. As in - you can just spray on the other side and plop opponent's worm.

Well, Sensei claims he and his friends have made the scheme more "balanced" competitively, but crates is the complete opposite of that, luck does not balance schemes competitively, it enables more random chaotic events which decide the game more than skill does.

Not as many as Hysteria and BnG, but if you ask me, Aerial is the easiest artillery scheme(out of the 5 I've hosted in the AoA Cups) if you're a VERY precise BnG player.

Just look at how in my Clanners for Aerial for the most part I've annihilated everyone with precise BnG shots, and what happened in the recent playoffs versus TdC and MV, TdC were destroying MV, but then they killed Sbaffo, and walrus just absolutely dominated with pure BnG shots.

That's why the best strategy against MV is kill Walrus first, and the best strat would be to kill me first, same with BnG.

I really enjoy Aerial and I've played it a lot, just because I don't enjoy TUS Singles right now doesn't mean I haven't played it a lot and know what I'm talking about, it's a combination of skills and strategies from other schemes and I've watched enough to know what skills beat other skills.

Like, when will people understand that you can easily judge things you haven't even played because it's directly related to other things you have played, even I actually have played Aerial a good amount, it's not exactly rocket science it's a very simple scheme lol.

I've tried to ignore it like the plague with Bo3, but now you can force Bo1 I'm much more happy to pick it in Clanners!

Ideally, take out crates and I'm personally very happy!

You're becoming annoying and quite out of line lately. Go make uour K schemes, host your cups, make special leagues and brag about it on all platforms surrounding W:A.
Just leave my name out of your posts.
We all heard everything you have to say about Aerial, multiple times.. and guess what - no one seemed to care that much since this is a league scheme now. Play more, talk less.

thank you, i really didn't think about this. i was inclined to believe bouncing a zook on the water would have been more effective, but hell if i know

Yeah, I'm not the only one saying it's not a suitable Aerial scheme, it's beyond me how it was even approved with so many complaints... I've seen members from TdC, MV, ICB, dF and even STF as well as non-clan players on CWA server, and people who tested the scheme online comment on how unbalanced it is and think it's not as good as it could be.

At least one of the 2 major issues many people had a problem with has been, kind of, fixed, the ability to avoid Bo3.

Now, if we can get rid of crates, that would make this scheme much better, in my opinion.

You're becoming annoying and quite out of line lately. Go make uour K schemes, host your cups, make special leagues and brag about it on all platforms surrounding W:A.
Just leave my name out of your posts.

Here's the thing Sensei, whenever I use evidence and logical reasoning, historical facts from this game or whatever to actually prove you're wrong or lying, you resort to saying "I'm not reading that" or "I'm not replying to that" or even worse, you just start saying things like "You are going through that weird phase again" or even comment on how I was in hospital before...

Like what the f has any of that got to do with the issues I've presented? Whenever ANYBODY has actual evidence against you, you NEVER defend yourself, you resort to ad-hominems or just ignore them.

How many times do I have to say this as well, it's not my problem if you're annoyed, or offended because I'm telling the truth. I'm not here attacking you as a person, I'm attacking the choices you are making, the lies you have been spreading about BnG and the things you influence like this Aerial scheme that affect OTHER PEOPLE here.

If I say you're a liar, I back it up with direct evidence of you contradicting yourself and logical reasoning, it's not about YOU, it's about protecting the things I care about in this community and making sure every single person knows the truth so they can reach their own potential without such elitist notions of what is and isn't right for the community. I learned my lesson the hard way many years ago by being that very person, and fortunately some of the people who I genuinely did insult and annoy, have actually forgiven me and can see I'm making a conscious effort to contribute to this entire community.

Also, why do you take it so personally? I do the same thing to my very best friends in this community, even call MYSELF out when I've been stupid, or did something wrong! I do not single you out, and when you do good things I compliment them as well, if you ask for help I'm more than happy to help, and enjoy playing with you too.

My intention never has been or never will be to annoy you, or anyone in this community. Also, this scheme has YOUR NAME attached to it, it's associated with you, you said in previous threads you and your friends played many games to figure out the best settings.

This is an opinion though as I don't have any evidence to back it up... It feels to me like you only had you and your friends in mind, and not the entire community when you made this scheme.

You can always agree on Bo1, Bo5 or whatever and have random starting order. This rule means you can also force Bo1 and let the opponent start if you really don't want to play a scheme as Bo3. We have the same rule in place for Intermediate (Bo3 by default as well).
