What is the most addictive game you've ever played? (after worms ofcourse)
for me its mta, that feel when you playing it its awesome
probably haxball. I personally many times give up it, but always come back to hax
those games is addictive because of multiplayer, but the most addictive for me is pokemon games, I had period of time when I played pokemon emerald 18 hours per day xD
skyrim, total overdose, god father II, sacred also got very addictive singleplayer
so yea, What game have you put the most hours into?
What game have you spent the most time playing?
I guess it's Final Fantasy 8 for me, dunno how many hours I spent on it. Played it few times in different time periods , always had different feeling etc. I think If I would sum up all time "wasted" on FF8 it will be around 200-300h . So far it's my best game ever, one of the best games on PS1 as well.
I really recommend this production .
Heroes of might and magic 3 and 5, diablo II ( median XL mode is the best i think),sid meier's civilization 3, pro evolution soccer(like to play it with friends, when we drink beer xD ),and of course old Russian browser game combats.com,didnot play it now,but play a lot at 2005-2010
Albatross18/PangYa
All Zelda's (until I completed each one, i'd call in sick for work/school etc jus so I could play)
Battlefield 2
World of Warcraft
Recently, online poker, but for the 1st time in my life I had the discipline to quit playing after a week because I knew it would become a problem if I didn't, but during that week I played 14/16 hours a day.
The most addictive passion in my life is audio.
Worms Armageddon
When i left worms, WoW (World of Warcraft) Took its place.. Right after work all day on weekend for 4 yrs straight.. Then when i cam back to worms i havent touched it... but that was a very addictive game.
I have dabbled in skyrim, but playing alone sucks. only made it to level 54

Worms Armageddon
Supposed to be other than this :D Or u sayin it's the only one?
WA is the only one for me, I like GTA a lot, but nothing in comparison with Wa lol.
WA / GYM / Girls Thats all ;D
Any interesting game becomes addictive for me, that's why I almost don't play new games :D
I spent much time playing Warcraft 3 & The Elder Scrolls series. Now I watch "Let's play"s sometimes, because it's interesting to see what's happening in the game industry, but there are some games I would definetely play. Good thing they are not going to release soon, or ever :D
battle for middle earth, grand theft auto and gran turismo for sure. 8)
Oh yeah Gran Turismo, my most fav was the 1st one, 2nd hand GTO ftw lol, but I found that out for myself luckily, I didn't get it from the hints :D
Age of Empires 1.
Chess :) I could never be bothered to study openings, though.
Heroes of might and magic 3, Point Blank, World of Tanks
World of Warcraft so many fun memories 2005-2008, getting S3 Gladiator was awesome too. Then got into online poker till Black Friday hit in 2009 stopping all US activity ;/ For now it's back to Worms and attempting League of Legends (Gabriel can attest, I've seen his raging in that game ^^) but it's definitely fun learning it as a new challenge for me right now.
there's no game like w:a but Age of Empires II, Counter Strike 1.5/1.6, and gunbound were very addictive fo me...nowadays im playing minecraft online a lot ;)
I enjoyed playing commando conquer :)
GTA II
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
Final Fantasy VIII
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
that's all offline, though. I won't touch other online games besides W:A ;D

Considering your preferences, I doubt you won't touch TES Online xD
I absolutely loved the 1st Oblivion (if it WAS the 1st, can someone confirm this or correct it please?) but I couldn't be arsed with the rest for some reason, I was absolutely hooked on it, line and sinker but when I got to the end, it became ridiculously boring to even attempt anything else...
any shooter, ever. special mention to battlefield bad company 2 and call of duty 4 & WaW.
retro stuff: wwp(xD), NFS, Stronghold, Disciples, Diablo 2, Sacred, Space rangers(1\2), CUBE(<3) and many another old games.

I dont like new games much... I just enjoy i have nostalgia xD Also, i play heroes of neweth last time, my best friend infected me :D
Quote from: SPW on April 11, 2013, 10:23 PM
gran turismo
Ah yea forgot ! GT 1 & 2 is just a classic . It's more than awesome. I did few attempts for GT 4 too, never had more than 50% game complete, always got problem with saves on my memory card :<. Imo gt4 was also the best gt that i've played.
HOMM I and III
GTA 2, SA, IV
Larkinor (online clicking, character developing game)
Honfoglaló (aka conQUIZtador, online quiz game)
the most addictive of these is definitely HOMM III
for me: gta3 and everything x-com

the new tomb raider game is f@#!in amazing
dark souls :(
I like how the new tomb raider is more like 99% of the games in the market and less like the tomb raider we fell in love with
Quote from: ropa on April 25, 2013, 08:16 AM
dark souls :(
+1 xD
Very hardcore one, i like it
The new tomb raider is more critically acclaimed than the ones we grew up with. The old games are a distant memory after this new incarnation. New one blows the old one out of the water, best game ive played in several years IMO. At least since the original Dead Space and Fallout 3 have I not had more fun playing a game.
Monster Hunter series.

OMG I loved Monster Hunter 2 for PSP, but I didn't really get far ! I had to sell my PSP to make the funds to get my KRK Monitors, that is one game I am definitely going to have to get again someday to actually complete !!!

i have played x-com a lot back in the days. i really loved it and i miss those good old times. :(
man, there are sooo much games to be added here... from a-z.
it's just impossible (xd) to name them all here. ;o
if my pc wouldn't suck so bad, i also would add very much new games too.
to say which game is the most addictive is just impossible (again xd).
if you are a gamer, you don't have only 1 favourite game aside of wa ofc.

check this out:

it's a fan base remake of enemy unknown
And if you can spare some money I'd recommend to take a look at Xenonauts.

It's more true to the old-school x-com than the reincarnation from Firaxis.

Monster Hunter series.
Addicting in the same way as Dark Souls, just the latter is a much bigger game.
To finish all G-Rank quests and/or to get all armor sets and weapons you will most likely sink close to 1000hours into the latest western release (Monster Hunter 3 ultimate) I have already played 120hours so far and I am at the start of High rank in solo and haven't touched multiplayer at all for now.
And if we ever get a western MMO like the Japanese have with MHFrontier or the chinese soon with MHO it would go into the thousands.
MH ist basically a MMO for offline and optional multiplayer part. So the transition between MH series and the MMO is barely noticable (you just see more people in town), gameplay is the same.
Dark Souls I have played twice through, once on the original PS3 version and once on the PC (prepare to die edition), MH just drives me froward because it actually rewards you with new enemies (even if its just subspecies) that actually get new moves to learn. In Dark Souls they just scale so they have more HP deal more dmg etc. Of course Dark Souls best part is the PvP which MH doesn't have. But for PvE MH is king compared to DS.
Dont get me wrong though, both games are great and I am awaiting Dark Souls 2 as much as I await any MH game to come, but since I like PvE more I enjoy MH a lot more. :) These both games are better, more rewarding and skillful to play than any other new "CoD" that gets to us. Asian gamers have a lot better games than we do now. I wonder why the western gamers got so brainwashed into liking CoD and easymode games when the asians basically stayed the same at the core, hard games, grindy games etc.
I never owned Demon Souls, only played it at friends (I'm console-less), but once its sequel Dark Souls finally went to PC, I had a huge addicting phase just fully exploring the game that first time through, and that was the best part. Just a great challenging world that kept me wanting more. Looking forward to Dark Souls 2 :)

CoD is alot of fun and a very good game, maybe that why?
if you guys like fps games you should definitely try Ghost Recon Online.
it's a team play based game, very strategical and incredibly addictive. and most of all it's free to play.

I only not agree with this part. Per example, you meet around 10 Titanite Demons in a Dark Souls playthrough, these have the same graphics and holding the same weapon. Well, 90% of them have a different moveset and most have a unique move.
I agree that the MHU offers more in terms of bosses but you make it sound as if DS just recycles through graphics for monsters, and while it does for some of them, they still variation even amongst the same enemy unit.
the addiction for me comes from the learning curve. A casual gamer will never get past the first 25% of the game (without being rushed by friends). It's hailed to be one of the hardest games ever and yet people are now pushing to complete it in the one hour mark. There's so many paths to complete the game, so many builds. And then there's the PVP which is what has me still playing :S
Yeah, well I meant that when you finished DS and make a Game+ the monsters just get more dmg/hp etc. Where in MH once you finish low rank it starts from the beginning again but you get to see the subspecies for example Royal Ludroth (low rank) Purple Royal Ludroth (high rank). I know that DS has a lot of monster variety and bosses in the first playthrough though! =)
I love about MH that you don't level up your character but rather make or break by choosing the right armor and weapons. :)
DS owns
Kai, what other platforms is MH available on? Is it on PC or anything? (Saves me looking sorry for being lazy)
Damn right, i've pretty much gave up playing lots of games, I recently sold my PS3, got rid of all games except WA, after we do Season 31 PO i'm done with Clanning/Classic league, but I am DEFINITELY getting Monster Hunter for the PC !!!!!
There is no MH for PC currently except you live in Japan or use a VPN (they block all IPs outside from Japan), and then you need to be able to understand Japan or just guess your way through. The only current MH for West is MH3U which needs a 3DS or Wii U (I have Wii U version). The cry engine MH is for chinese only, maybe on the E3 they will announce that it's coming to international audience too, Tencent is one of the biggest companies on the world so it shouldn't be a problem for them if they see a market for MH in the west. Also: Chinese MMO have the tendency to offer english versions even though there is no international server so we might be lucky and get an english client and still can play it. :p
ew.
If you like real fps, play tribes ascend.
MH looks great. Cryengine 3 looks like an industry leader now, with Crytek creating a absolutely stunning Crysis 3. I can't get over how good it looks. I don't like fantasy shit though. Give me a post apocalyptic game like Fallout. Sure, skyrim is a great game, but i frown on wizardry >:(
OMG I want MH again so badly... I'm getting a PSP again, screwit !
komo you can get ppsspp emulator on your android phone, iphone or pc and play monster hunter via emulator
http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=1095
And if you want a device to play MH get a 3DS, MH4 is announced ONLY for 3DS. PSP is dead anyway.
Wait, there's a PSP emulator that works for PC?
there was JPCSP around for a while already, psp emulator written on java.. but now come up henrik (developer of dolphin Nintendo Wii and GC emulators) after 5 months of developing emulator runs GTA Vice city/liberty city stories, both god of war games, Little Big Planet, Potapon and alot of other exclusives on many different platforms

Thanks for that man, but I honestly prefer the real thing when it comes to things I REALLY enjoy :)
I use Emulators for SMD and SNES cuz well, I played the originals to death and it's just easier, but a PSP fits in my pocket, I can take it on train journeys down to England etc...

I am really tight for money right now, I am living pretty comfortably, but with no extra luxuries, 90% of my wages must go to things that need paid off, which should only take about another, 3-4 months, the other 10% goes towards money for things that if they break need replacing immediately.
Plus, I didn't even play the 1st MH, I only played MH2, and I had really just started it, i'll play the 1st few before I move onto the other ones I guess, by then the 3DS will be down in price, I actually do all games consoles etc this way, I save alot of money deliberately being a few years behind, seeing as WA is really the ONLY game I play online these days, being up to date doesn't bother me like it did when I was a kid and you got made fun of rotten if you didn't have the best/newest stuff :)
I really don't see the point in getting "the next "best" temporary thing" every couple months lol.
Think of MH 1,2,3 etc like Pokemon, just without any story that matters. So getting the 3rd generation will give you all monsters you would get in the 1st or 2nd anyway so that's why I would recommend the current MH3U to anybody.
i enjoyed story telling on pokemon emerald
Actually im playing APB reloaded since almost one year, its totally addictive for me, since its pretty easy and needs some skills and team strategy in mission disctrict. Its free2play, and theres an ArmasShop for buy some cool stuff: cars kit, weapons, weapon skins, clothing for real money.
Currently this game have a big issue with the servers that make the game almost unplayable for some peoples, but the company is working on for replace all server with new server..

God Hand and Persona 3-4.

Hmm good point, BUT, do they have different scenery and different gamemusic with slightly different sound? And characters? Doesn't bother me really if it's same monsters, even same kinda weapons, as long as there is diff stuff to look at and listen too, I fell in love with MH2(psp) immediately due to the scenery/graphics & sound, especially sound, i'm an audio junkie lol, and MH2 is the only one i've played...
I will definitely get MH3U, one way or another, but like I said I can't buy anything right now, have priorities to payback.
Awesome ! Turns out a friend had a psp he didn't want so we traded some stuff :D
And I still had my copy of MHF2 lying around :D This is awesome :D
GTA series, Call of Duty series, PES, Castlevania Lament of Innocence and Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 in my old nasty ps2.
Pokemon Fire Red, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team, Castlevania Aria of Sorrow, Metroid Zero Mission on my phone via gba emulator.
At pc just WA xD but rarely play counter strike with my friends :D
