very nice dub :)
where did you get all the materials for this?
Woa.. Let's meet for some poker at Dub's place! :D
wow, this is really amazing! niiiice 8)
aaaaaaand, did you win the lottery now, so we can all play there? ^^
Looks better in person. Got the materials from local hardware store, the high density foam, leather and speed clothe I got online and the shuffler also I got online.
I'm heading out to check my lotto ticket pack yer bags!
very nice, looks like great craftsmanship, you thought about makin these for other people?
i take it this just sits over the top of the regular table, if they send you the dimensions im sure you could make a bit
i'm also gonna get a lotto ticket 2nite
oooo, very nice, that must have been a really fun project. and even with a shuffler, I am impressed 8)
That is very well made, must be awesome to play on it. :) Impressive!
thats really nice... but the shitty part is, you would prolly have been better off buying one, i can imagine you spent a fortune on material, specially if thats a solid piece of wood, mahogany maybe?... that alone must have been well over 200 bux..
but for a solid well built table, the was prolly worth it... and maddog is right, you should consider selling those things, people would pay a fortune for a hand man custom poker table, get some rich cock sucker to give you like 2g's for a table... would be pretty profitable i would imagine.
apart from the built in shuffler, it is amazing
nah surely an auto shuffler gives you a much better shuffle
also f@#! waiting around to do it by hand
I long to own a table of myself one day, how is that auto shuffler? I hear they dont do a very good shuffle but they seem so useful!

i think it coulda been done on the cheap, except for the shuffler. The shuffler would probably reduce the value of the table, but its his own personal table, so its perfect for him. I'm interested to know what you did with the outer? is that veneer or a solid sheet of coated melamine of some sort? at any rate the table is great.

Shuffler reduce the value of the table? This isn't some $15 walmart shuffler that only riffles the cards once. http://www.shuffletech.com/st1000-card-shuffler.aspx
The shuffler works great! Can get a lot more hands in during the night which usually = more $. I would say it has paid for itself many times over.
The race track is made out of solid oak, forget what it is stained with but has many many coats of varathane.
Still waiting for the legs for it. The folding metal legs makes the table look cheap. I ordered 2 claw foot pedestals to go under it which will make it look a lot more elegant.
Theres no market to sell this type of table. Maybe 7 or 8 years when poker boomed.
I feel like you could shuffle a lot faster by hand, I watched the video of that shuffler... 40 seconds to shuffle o.0

On what setting? On the standard casino shuffle (riffle - strip x3) I've never noticed it take that long. You always play with two decks . . . one goes in the shuffler, the other comes out. Very very rarely have we ever waited on the shuffler to finish before we can play the next hand. Maybe if your playing with only 3 or 4 people it could be a problem but if we only have 3 or 4 people we are usually playing chinese.
Sure a table full of poker dealers could shuffle faster using two decks but not every game is full of competent shufflers and none competent dealers are always welcome in my game. In a home game with any significant amount of money on the table I would much rather a good shuffle coming from the shuffler from my hand to the dealer who then cuts the deck and deals the someones hack job of a shuffle.
oh yeah, with two decks I can definitely see that working nicely
that looks sick, looks like a lot of effort has gone into it, so Kudos to you.
Poker is one of my hobbies, i enjoy playing with friends, but we have one of those cheap sets with cheaps, deck of cards and a dealer button, i also enjoy playing on poker stars.
Im intrigued to know what was the overall cost of it all to build, nd how long did it take you to make? man hours etc.
Other than that, Good job
72 all in!
Is it possible I've seen this table on 2+2?
Nice!
