How to make a good map?

(1/4) > >>

Ray:
Hey guys!

Thing is: I have never created a map myself. I was wondering if anyone could show me some programs which I can use to create .BIT or color maps with.

I saw a map generator on TEAM17 forum, but as I read the comments it's far from ready yet and is only capable of creating colored maps.

Microsoft Paint is good for almost every one.
Photoshop is recommended.

You should use it, easy, simple crappy you just need  the scenario and images etc.. like
the stuff from Mario. as showed in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOfuAcM3MIU

But, if you want a really professional map, you gotta do the stuf by yourself, pixel by pixel.

Hf bl gl :)

Rok:
Microsoft Paint will do. Use BitMonkey program to convert .bmp picture into .bit format, u can get it on blamethepixel. I guess u'll need photoshop or smth like that to make png maps - check worms2d.info for the properties that .png map should have to work properly.

darkmaul:
Paint :D
