As some of you may know, i preach about a band called Fair to Midland... I posted some vids in the other thread, but I think no one bothered with them... Well it has been my personal goal to get this band heard because I believe they are a great band; I've gotten 7 of my friends addicted and they are spreading the word.
A little about them... if you like clean vocal metal (little to no growls or screams), you should fall in love with this band. I can heard influences of bands like System of a Down in their songs. The vocalist is truly great... he is amazing live. Please give this band a chance! Please listen to some of these, you metal lovers! I want your opinion!

+1 for the band :D

There's nothing to go with SOAD.
And I don't really like it (didn't find a single great point :o ).

You are craAaAazy! I like System, and FTM do have some roots with soad in their music, you just gotta listen for it ;)

Yeah, you're maybe right, but there is a really big bad point: the voice of the singer.
It's not the one needed for that kind of music.
Just compare SOAD to this, and you'll see the difference. ^^
SOAD ftw ! (Armenian powa. :p)

From what i've heard, you either love the singer or don't like him... for me, he is one of the best vocalists I have ever heard because of his range and the unique wobble he can put on his voice. His vocal range can best be heard in this song I think:
Can go high to low like THAT. check out that song, Abnaxus

nice husk *--* soad owns forever

I'm sorry ShyGuy, I really can't stand this voice. It's like a commercial emo singer singing in a "metal" band.
About this song in particular, the couples aren't bad (but nothing is similiar to SOAD), but the chorus ! The chorus is too much commercial for me (we heard it too many times, and it's pretty horrible). x|
PS: It's like I prefer Serj Tankian as singer in SOAD, than this unball-ed (high-pitched) Daron Malakian.

Coincidentally, that song I posted last was the only song that got radio time by Fair to Midland :P
Oh well... to each his own I guess. But this song right here, the intro reminds me directly of SOAD

Yeah, there I agree. ^^
