Another CD I've been listening to is a compo of folk/romantic BM called 'Der Wanderer über dem Nebelmeer', a disc dedicated to said painting by C.D. Friedrich.
It has quite a few bands on there I've never heard before.. Not too polished, but the songs are really good.
And there's the new 'Les Fragments de la Nuit' album ('Demain c'était hier), classical, in an apocalyptic kind of way (moviemusic)
