rotfl that sure is stone stacking xD

There's a place in New Zealand called Goose Bay where people used to stack stones, although I guess they stopped at some point based on Google images now. This was my crappy addition when I was 13. I put my real name on it, haha. And a picture of Bloopy from a few years before I adopted that as my own nickname:

ahhh that must have been cool experience to visit such place with stacks made by visitors, i guess Finland has such place in Lahti, if i visit it i'll make some cool stack there for sure
also ur stack is nice bloopy, i like the small stone chilling at the top
considering u were a kid when u made that, i'd say u r a natural, you would make awesome stuff today
i made this one yesterday:
-
rofl that shit is rly silly but pretty cool ae!
ill do some with my kid when he gets bigger aeee
-
lol, i gotta try that on vacation, that's pretty kool
-
ae
-
^That one looks like it could hurt somebody!
-
yeah the pic makes it look like it could, but in real life if u see it it's completely safe
-
ae bloop thanks for the heads up, valuable lesson. i'd rather learn it before any accidents so thanks
on my way to shop i put the stone on ground level so it wont be falling to anyone's head
i'm gonna start a habit of always dissambeling my stacks after a good picture
better to be safe than sorry
soooo what do u think of the pic bloop, it took me like 1 hour trying to balance it there xD just sit there on edge and turning it a bit back and forth and leaving it leaning on the side with less weigh, while i was sitting there i doubted myself alot thinking "i picked too huge of a rock, shuda picked smaller one", so yeah i am glad with the result
-
Ah so it took an hour, now it makes sense. That's a nice dedicated effort!
I'm sure most of your stacks are safe enough, unless you have a habit of making them 5ft tall or on cliff edges. :-X
-
yeah they are, and yeah no habit. i did look at spots at ground level first but there weren't many good rocks in that area except in the forest... and i get nervous sitting in a forest for 1 hour focusing on a stack, what if a snake comes and i don't notice it or some shit lol, so i rather sit on a spot that has human acitivity
-
Funny you should mention creatures interrupting stone stacking. We don't have any snakes in NZ, but the place Goose Bay I mentioned is known for sleepy grumps that'll growl at you if you get too close: https://goo.gl/maps/U4L7JXNjsmE2

If I got Sbaffo, ANO, Hurz, and several other players with the same, passion in life ;)
And made a human pyramid, would that count? :)
Nice stacks Husk, actually inspire me to try this myself, next time it's a beautiful day with no wind and i'm feeling patient enough i'll cycle up the river and try some stream stacking :D
-
I've made some stone cairns, never take pictures though :)

one from my collection

Wow. I thought Husk's was impressive, but this one is even better. How did you stack your entire monitor on top of these tiny stones?? :o
-
pavlepavle, is that Genius's microphone?
Looks like cheapest shit ever, but was amazing! Worked flawlessly on win7, works awful in win10.

I don't see any harm with ppl stacking stones.. But on the other hand, there's not much sense or creativity either haha. It's a pile of random rocks, guys...
EDIT: just saw that clip bloopy posted. And yeah, that shit looks cool. Was talking about "artworks" you ppl posted in thread..

yeah i think the facebook post is some depressed single woman over her 30s, she can stay in home eating icecream and watch re-runs of the friends while others create something beautiful xD
well on another look at that post, i guess she is just mad at other ppl for some reason, she do her thing
