I played Worms Blast and Worms Pinball. Neither got me hooked for more than 3 days.

If you just want some brainless fun you can get either game, they'll entertain you for a few hours no doubt. But none of them (I played Reloaded, Ultimate Mayhem and Revolution) is really worth it in the long run. No expectations and, more importantly, no comparisions to W:A will leave you much less disappointed.

I played Reloaded when it was on sale and free weekend. I did a few RRs which sucked but got the hang of it quite fast, it's just easy "press down for speed instead of up" roping. You can't build up real momentum and climbing up is retarded, like your arrows are usable but have little to no effect. The Artillery modes were ok but not many players.

I remember being #1 for 3 months str8 when the 1st worms came out on xbox live.. jaja   I was a monster and nobody knew you can do 50dmg with a shotty.  I win everytime haha...

Worms World Party (PC version) is great (particularly when I have friends round!) and most of the files for W:A (Soundbanks, etc.) also work with WWP
The PSX version is (obviously) inferior by comparison, but it does feature those side-splittingly-funny "movies" that we saw in Worms 2 plus a few more!
Worms 4: Mayhem ... Hmmm...  (Weapon customizing was cool, but...)
Worms 2 - I wouldn't be here if it weren't for that! And those "movies" are the stuff of legend

Almost all of them are totally shit because Team17 is completely talentless and all they can do is keep rehashing their flagship once successful franchise. Kind of like george lucas.

i bought worms 2 armageddon for my xbox its pretty fun to play with the non hardcore worms peeps.  worms ultimate mayhem was brainless fun, probably will pick up worms revolution eventually.  are they good games?  likely not, but good for a go once or twice.  was actually entertained by worms ultimate mayhem but there isnt much depth to the game.

Somewhere, some time ago, I mentioned something along the lines of:

Worms - Great Concept, fun and striking gameplay.¹
Worms 2 - Made by programmers, for programmers.²
Worms Armageddon - Worms 2, but redesigned for everyone.³
Worms World Party - Lightweight remake/redesign of Worms Armageddon for the kids to play with.⁴
Worms 3D - It had to happen eventually, and it didn't really work too well in this case either.⁵
Worms 4: Mayhem - Worms 3D for kids.⁵
Worms Reloaded (and more recent) - Ghosts of the franchise's past.

¹ It's the foundation of the entire series. What else is there to be expected?
² A signifficant leap in about every aspect of the original. However, it has an unusually technical UI: Game may feel like an independent game engine with a hackers UI extension rather than a solid game.
³ More and better awesome, but less customization though. It has what it needs, and it knows it.
⁴ Technically it's basically a remake of Worms Armageddon, but designed for consoles and online multiplayer. There is a lot of things Worms Armageddon got right that Worms World Party messed up. I say no more.
⁵ I like to describe Worms 3D as the 3D equivalent of Worms Armageddon, and Worms 4: Mayhem as the 3D equivalent of Worms World Party.
