Question: Would setting down the sd timer to 5 seconds usefull for league games?

No seriously, I already talked to Peja about this (again lol), I don't think the scheme belongs in a league with its current settings/rules/maps. The reasons are obvious enough.

That's right, we think the scheme is much better that way. The starting positions become a little more of a lottery, but the game remains interesting all the time to the end of match, with no situations where two players fruitlessly attempt to score an accurate hit for many minutes.

What do you guys think about this idea?

i agree! i like the scheme, but it gets boring after a while...and it annoys me a lot!

Some people seem to like the pseudo tactics and the boring always-the-same stuff near the end.. D:

bah i've seen games where someone gets very bad positions at the start, and the enemy just pile around their worms, and loser has not chance to telecow...
if we had 1 second of SD time, the winner just would force the loser to go up and kill him easily.
Atleast with 10 seconds the loser gets some chance to zook the winner or force him to do some errors.

Just don't attack on your turn, so it takes 1 full sec.
10 turns = sd.
