when I try to load the extended scheme, the game says that the file type is invalid or it is too large,
how can i fix this?

The new schemes don't work with HostingBuddy yet.  Download the scheme and host with the Host button (get WormNAT2 if you can't host using this method).

HostingBuddy has been updated on the test server but hasn't gone live yet for primetime general use. If you want to try it go to advanced options and select "load community list".
