Thank you Joe, I will try this and get back to this topic.
Also, I think I failed to mention that these crashes happens also in-game regardless of resolution.
These occurrences started to happen when I made switch to 3.8, or maybe new monitor? Regardless, very annoying. Can't even safely minimize anymore without worrying breaking the game for everyone.

wow. never knew about this. now i can run my W:A in 1080p. lovely.

Joe, the problem still persist.
Unfortunately the only solution is to wait, However if you wish to gain some control of your computer hold down window key+tab and switch to new desktop. In the new desktop right click on empty space select display settings. There you can pick a high resolution, at least then you get a better view & sense of control while you wait.

Game is poorly optimized for some reasons. You may argue against it, but it is not normal when you minimize and go back to the game it loads black screen, and have to use unorthodox method to leave it such as windows+tab and make new desktop just to wait for WA to respond or to end it with task manager. This was never an issue with 3.7.2.1 though. I don't understand how this could be overlooked at all.

and here i am, used to have some issues with alt-tabbing in 3.7.2.1
