WA on Windows 7

Could anyone help me how to install WA on this system:

Windows 7 Home Premium - Service Pack 1

Packard Bell
EasyNote TS45HR
Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU B815 @ 1.60GHz 1.60Ghz
3.85GB RAM
64-bit Operating System

I've only ever installed it on Windows XP and i've seen lots of complaints people having problems getting it to work on Windows 7 i'd rather ask before tackling it myself and probably wasting my time...

hmm, i'm playing in WA all the time at win7. i installed only WA and then i have to install this pack (https://www.tus-wa.com/files/file-42/) and all is ok.

Which versions did you install? Both game disc and patch...

Just install the game from the disc. If the disc install won't work for whatever reason, there's always unwain. Finally, install the 3.7.0.0 update from http://wa.team17.com

Yeah, well, I installed update patches ofc, but nothing else. I have this full edition or special edition, can't remember.. I have a CD image too, since the updates I have to mount that when I wanna run W:A.

I'm running the same OS, only installed the game and the update, though I'm not playing much nowadays it works perfectly without any further tinkering.

Install game, apply latest patch (it will download everything for you, depending on the version of your game, it's an all-in-one installer), done. And i highly recommend using Direct3D 9 option with shaders in advanced options of W:A, it runs even more smooth now on my system.
