No Sfx

So recently I've been getting this problem where no sfx will play. No explosions, no speeches, no fanfares etc. All I ever get is the background music. I reinstalled the game several times and checked all the .wav files, they work fine when I play them with VLC or Winamp but the game won't load them.

70sgroove works for some reason though.

Just to make it clear, this have nothing to do with the legendary worms clan "SfX"? Cause a topic title looks like that...

p.s. some people says that Alt+F4 is also reliable...

You must forgive Ramo, he tends to get really really drunk from time to time.

What are you installing the game from, a disc or an image? If it's a disc, it might help to make an image out of it and use that to install and play. If it's an image already, I'd probably try making a new one... but I guess that's kind of a long shot if the files play fine in a media player. Still worth a try, though.
