Hey all, I've been out of the loop since 2006, when I switched to Mac. Used to be in a clan called iMa (Insane Monkey Army) with a couple other fellows named Hoobastank and DaBiteSizeGod. Lol. Even typing that out makes me laugh since I'm a grown ass adult now.

Anyway, I never stopped loving this game. But as a Mac user I never got the game running smoothly. Over the years I've tried here and there to run W:A and WWP inside a Wine emulation but it never really worked great as pro roper requires quick access to the function keys and the lag made it impossible to get into the rhythm.

Has much changed since I last tried to do this? Can anyone who is into Pro Roping (15 sec. turns, water level set so the mines that don't land on a worm's head fall through the bottom, boundaries and two hooks, a new crate every turn) shed some light on working with Mac OS and W:A or WWP? Specifically Apple Silicon.

Welcome back! I'm sure there's a few threads kicking around about Mac OS, I'm just about to head to bed but I'll have a look tomorrow for you.

Hi warhead,
nice that you want to restart WA!
I totally know this Problem since I have a MacBook for work and a Windows PC at home and I would like to rope on MacBook when I'm not at home;)
I know that you can get WA run smoothly on old Intel Macs with bootcamp but you need more software on Macs with new arm chips.
I just upgraded from MacBook Air M1 to MacBook Air M4 and I tried parallels and Crossover.
WA runs very smoothly on M4 with crossover (better than parallels) but it was laggy on M1.
However, I heard that Crossover (it's like wine) should be the best solution but for me it is still not comparable with WA on Windows PC. It looks smooth but it doesn't feel smooth for me when roping. It seems like there is an input delay that's not good for roping but ok for land schemes.
