Title: Possible reasons for sluggish performance?
Post by: skunk3 on April 01, 2019, 04:29 AM
I have been inactive on W:A lately but in the last couple of days I've jumped on and tried to play some Big RR. During the games I am getting a bunch of screen lag... so much that it's causing me to fall a lot. It's even choppy/laggy when it isn't my turn. None of the other games I play have performance issues like this and before I went inactive I didn't have this problem, and I don't think that I've uninstalled + reinstalled since then. I am really stumped. I've even tried turning off other apps in the background and it made no difference.

FWIW, I am using Windows 10 and my specs are obviously far more than enough to run W:A lol.

It sure won't be long before that alias account is banned.

If you're on Steam version of the game, you got updated on 3.7.2.2. which was released by T17, not DC & CS.
Everyone in community just downgraded cause that new version broke few things.

That's the steam downgrade link for 3.7.2.1.

Which renderer is enabled in advanced options?

Whatever the default dx9 one is. I played with some various settings and I enabled "wait for assisted v sync" (or something like that) and now the game seems to work perfectly. I dunno if the issue stems from the fact that I now use a TV hooked up via HDMI to my laptop or not. Before I was just using my laptop screen.

Yes, it's very possible. Good to know you got it to work. Thank you for the update.

FWIW, I am using Windows 10
Well, there's your problem. Try an older version of Windows, either by dual-booting or by Virtual Machines.
