What happened to HostingBuddy?

I don't use HostingBuddy because I find it cumbersome to use. Though I am curious and there are plenty of people that does use it so does anybody know what's up? Does this have anything to do with preparation of update 3.9? Also I would like to add that I think I was told by either Deadcode or CyberShadow that HostingBuddy would be obsolete in the nearby future, and that normal hosting would just replace HB's role.

the game would lose a lot of players - including newbies but also recurring players - if HB stays down I'm calling this now. HB is needed, every 2nd player uses that for hosting games in AG, and they won't be bothered to look up and download wormnat and things like that, they will rather leave the servers I believe. we shouldn't allow to lose even more players in an already scarred and halved community in a way like this ;c

It is the whole wormnet, I tried to host but my friend couldn't join and from snooper my game was invisible. I think we should wait some days...

oh hi, this is not a drill

so allegedly the http://worms2d.info server got caught in the crossfires of 🇷🇺 🇺🇦 war. This also means that the Worms Knowledge Base ( http://worms2d.info ), HostingBuddy ( https://worms2d.info/HostingBuddy ), WormNAT2 ( https://worms2d.info/WormNAT2 ), Worms Map Database ( http://wmdb.org ), and WebSnoop among other things are all down.

What does this mean:
1. You cannot call HostingBuddy to host a game for you
2. You cannot use WormNAT2 to host games, your game appears as a red entry with an Argentina flag (flag ID 1)
3. You cannot visit the WebSnoop website to check the live activity of WormNET
4. You cannot connect to the Community Server
5. The only way to host games is with port forwarding

ETA of coming back is measured in months, but the precise time is unknown
