I was looking for a keyboard and I found this one: http://bit.ly/be1y4I
It has a feature called 'Anti-Ghost' which allows you press6 keys at once.
Bye bye keylock, Hello Mirux Roper/RRer.
Just wanted to share with you :D
I was like "wtf $7200 for one keyboard?!?!?!?!?!?!?"
but then I realised thats its chil$ 7200, which is like 10 euros, lmfao.
give some review when you have it ^^
but I doubt its better then the Tarantula, hah! :D
Oh yo había cachado el mismo teclado Renantote, pero como que se me hace medio chanta tanta bondad. Cuando te lo compres avisa si es así de bueno como dice, que me lo compro de una :P.
Genius is cheap-o-matic... i doubt that your spacebar will last for long.
Hey hey, I am using it right now but I am at work so, tonight I'll try it. :)
@chakkman It depends how you hit your space bar. :-D

Oh no, have you also turned into a Tarantula-lover? The world is messed up man... :D
Logitech G15 - FTW!
Quote from: Mirux on July 01, 2010, 07:46 PM@chakkman It depends how you hit your space bar. :-D
My experience is somehow that the softer you tap space the faster it'll f@#! up, but maybe thats exclusive for my keyboard. :) Anyway i'd rather go for some solid stuff instead of spending money and getting disappointed. Keylock is not the only thing to worry about...
@chakkman At least for me, key lock was the flea in my ass! But the keyboard is good, I like it. I almost don't hear myself typing on it, great for long nights of intense roping, no one will wake up with my tapping. :-D
Alright. :)
Okay, the keyboard has no keylock BUT, there's a strange keylock when I keep pressed > ^ and then I press Spacebar, it doesn't respond. Is that normal on super uber razor keyboards?
If it is I'll just deal with it. :D
Looks like it is only that combo of keys.
it's all in your head! laptop keyboard has been the best thing i've ever played on. not joking
No chance to blame ur laptop or ur inactivity now to rope I hope u play both picks on clanners now Chilean.

at the tarantula you can press even more then 10 keys at the same and all will respond. The anti ghosting ability on this keyboard i really great :)
At my old keyboard I also had some strange keylock that looks a bit similar to what you describe. I couldnt press up, left and 'B' at the same time but all opther combos with two arrow keys and 'b' worked well. Although this keyboard im talking of had a real keylock on the space bar (any 2 arrow + space didnt work).

@ShyGuy No it is not.
@devilage Sure, pick and win. ;-]
I see where shys comming from. Laptop keys generally have extremely low travel, and if you've ever played on a laptop you'll notice that there is a significant difference in response time and general feel. The flatter the keys and the lower the travel, the better it is for roping.
Obviously it doesnt really matter what kb you use, no kb is going to make you crazy fast, its all about technique and timing. (tarantula ftw)
True NAiL but, as a matter of fact, you can now rope with keylock, even if you deal with it by not pressing more than 2 keys. Personally I do press more than 2 keys while I rope, so if It gets stuck, I can't rope.

Lol, that IS Keylock...
And my keyboard has that also, so I just change space to Left Control or Left Alt and it works like a dream, no Keylock at all.
Damn, I was hoping no one say that Komo lol but yeah, I ended up using keychange, I use Left Control too and it works perfectly.
Has anyone tried Microsoft's SideWinder X4 anti-ghosting keyboard? Found a few links on it:

http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/gaming/productdetails.aspx?pid=105
it says it can press up to 26 keys at once ;o
looks nice too, not so bulky as tarantula or g15
NinjaCamel posted something about it in the new keyboard thread once, here: https://www.tus-wa.com/forums/off-topic/new-keyboard/ (https://www.tus-wa.com/forums/off-topic/new-keyboard/). Its the X6 though...

Why would you hope no one says that?
There's absolutely nothing wrong with changing the key you press for spacebar, heck I don't even care if people use 2 spacebars, it's not exactly giving them an advantage, 1 is better, I only use 2 spacebars for warmers now cuz 1 can't handle 2 handed tapping like my old one could, but in normal ropers and ttrr's shoppers etc, I only use 1 space which I have mapped to left control cuz spacebar has 3 key lock with both up+direction.
The only thing I disagree with is like macros n stuff for obvious reasons, it's harder to rope with "FR" and "twitching" than it is normally lol, so let them do it, they have more chance of messing up cuz there's too much going on, imo anyway...

hmm, true, but I look at x6 description and it doesn't say the same anti-ghosting features. hmm..
well I've finally found a classic looking kb in the SteelSeries 7G (or coming soon a cheaper 6Gv2).. but even still, the "cheaper" 6Gv2 is $100 (7G is like $135). why does this simple looking kb have to cost so much :( It's all I want too.

how much did you guys pay for your tarantulas?
Wow, that keyboard's got to be awesome though.

iam thinking in buy the tarantula there soon.
just get tarantula! its better than X6 imo and X6 is more expensive. dunno about X4 but i think keys r the same. here Tarantula costs 60e + shipments
Looks nice franz, that's the kind of keyboard i like, simple and as small as possible and of course, no key lock at all but.. US$100 is.. too much unless you're a gamer.
naah, its not too much. im not gamer and i was gonna waste more money and im not gamer, everything else on my comp is piece of crap except Tarantula. i couldnt never think about buying thing like Tarantula for my pc xD
(http://www.motosauro.net/immagini/tastieraCompaq.jpg) :-* best kb ever
angus:i played with that kind of kb 2 and half years xD (until broke it when i got angry) :D

HAHAHA!!!!
Thats my old kb too angus! I used that for the first 3 years of wa, until the connection broke and I bought a tarantula.
IMO tarantula really wasnt worth the price.... I mean the only game I use it for is worms so I dont even make use of most of the macro features, and 10 key antighosting is of no relevance to anyone... you never need to press more than 2 or 3 keys at once. The "mega fast 0.5ms response time" is also just a selling gimmic, theres no noticable difference between this and the response time of any other kb you can buy. The illuminated logos all right but it looks abit lame to me.
I think that it may however subconsiously make you play better, as most people will have an expectation that a new kb is gonna improve their play. I like the music controls, and I like the fact its large and weighty and so it doesnt move around much when you hit it hard.

i bought it, it's very nice, but impossible for exactly aiming in BnG and the keylock is weird, sometimes it have keylock, you just play and then it happen for no reason, because u can try every key combination you wont find keylock but sometimes it just happen, that's a bit shitty but ye ^^ i wouldn't buy it again
hahhaah.... i have to just melt the plastic on the iron bar, for fix it ...xDDD... i hope that kb dont broke! :-*

hmm, keylock only sometime? that still sucks :( if you're sure you won't find keylock while testing (good place to test is http://www.microsoft.com/appliedsciences/AntiGhostingExplained.mspx), it sounds like the keyboard or computer is dropping key presses. either way, sucks..
anyway, I think I found a possible cheap kb for anyone in the US/Canada/Israel if they want to try to get it. only $20

do NOT buy this kb actually
it does let you press a lot of keys at once, but the spacebar and arrow keys are messed up. it misses key presses when pressing the keys rapidly, so it's awful for roping.
For a cheap kb that actually works for roping, get a Dell SK-8110. Just got one for $5
