I'M ASKING FOR EVERY WORMER TO TRY AND ADVERTISE THIS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE IF THIS STREAM WORKS OUT GREAT BIG THINGS WILL BECOME TRUE, TRUST ME, I CAN'T EXPLAIN IT EVERYTHING NOW BUT I WILL AFTER THE STREAM
Both of them agreed to play a intermediate match between each other. They can discuss how they want to play it, bo3, bo5, bo9, whatever suits them best. We will then add it to the streaming calendar and start big advertisment few days prior to get mass audience.
What we need to discuss now is the best of structure and times that will work for both players and also for streamers and commentators.
If we could get a russian stream going on at the same time, it would be even sweeter, I sent them a message to direct them to this thread so let's organize this event as this is going to be one of the main pieces of promotion, for mass audience and for the upcoming promotion video.

I guess most of you don't know the biggest Intermediate tourney, hosted once a year in autumn, called CWT. Random participated there, too. Won him closely :P

Mablak would've been great to see but he's inactive atm, and what Kayz also brings to the table is his crazy attacks, which are entertaining.
But we'll start with Kayz vs Chuvash for now.

bo3 - is too short for watching, not enough time for eating pop-corn or drinking some beer.
bo7 or > - can make a bit boring of watching too long game.

I'm asking for a favor from everyone to make an exciting thread about this stream event, and link some cool worms videos to it to get new audience excited, then remind then again on the day it's happening.
Hopefully we get a confirmation from nappy so he could do the russian stream also, then we're gonna hit big numbers!

Yeah, keep streaming some good quality intermediate, I guess it doesn't matter if it's a funner or not, the audience will never know ;0.
Although I'm not able to commit a lot of time, I'm still playing the NNN overall and seasonal playoffs right now, I'll have a match vs FaD possibly Sunday at 20 GMT, and one versus Zolo soon too.

In case it didn't come to mind just yet, you can also cast epic games from replays if you wanna stream badly but don't have a real match at hand. :)

With every main stream we do, audience will grow but the time to start going BIG is already NOW and not later. So please do EVERYTHING in your power you can to advertise and get viewers to this stream.
Also, someone please try to contact nappy or Jakka ASAP or someone who can get the russian stream and audience involved!

I'd be glad to help out by streaming for the Russian community, but at the moment my PC is not set up for this. There is no plausible reason for nappy not to stream in Russian, we could also make a duo commentary, if he is up for streaming. I will contact him, when he comes online today, but I can't warrant, that he hasn't planned some big ass drinking already.

Edit: I think me and Jakka will be doing russian broadcast for sc2tv.ru funstreams. Hopefully, we'll be able to gather a decent amount of watchers there :)

Unfortunately I am moving house tomorrow, so I won't have the internet for 1-2 weeks, I work Saturday nights and i'd be sleeping at that hour anyway :(

I think it's settled, there will be me, Orange and Khamski in the English stream and Jakka & Nappy in the Russian one.
A small request for Jakka and Nappy: try to make the stream as newbie-friendly as possible, most of the viewers will be a casual wormers or people who don't play worms at all. Try to explain even the simplest tactics, how weapons work, the scheme specifics etc.

I have no idea, I am guessing it was a timing issue, I spammed mostly american forums where it was morning on most parts and its was a saturday. I spammed like 8 forums with big userbases and overall we got little bit over 100 viewers.
We got 150 viewers at best when I just spammed 2 finnish forums on some normal day/time, can't remember the exact date now.
I was excepting MUCH bigger audience. :(
But the stream was enjoyable though! Good job all :)

Yeah seems so, but hopefully the viewer base will grows slowly but surely. :) Internet is full of opportunities for Guerilla Marketing.

Well, tricky, because it would require a lot of luck (there are thousands of submissions posted daily), but I honestly believe we have material good enough to make it happen.
What I think is that message should be really concise, be in the form of a picture (absolutely crucial), NOT be about streaming at all (you can always explain more and link to the stream in the comments), but it also should be posted at the time when the stream is online so if anyone's interested he could check it out. Not shoving down anyone's throat, not spamming, but going viral is the only method.
I would appeal to the idea of worms still getting updates (and maybe proscene potential) just like the post that got on the front page of Polish reddit/digg alternative:

It was submitted a month ago and if you check the wormnet statistics for Poland here: http://stats.worms2d.info/countries.html (http://stats.worms2d.info/countries.html)
you can clearly see that polish player base has doubled (!) since then.
I realize it sounds kinda unreal, but that's the way reddit works, I've had my posts reach front page in the past (once on /r/gaming) but it was mostly luck and appealing to the nostalgia. (screenshot of the game called 'shogo mobile armor division' combined with a semi-funny caption)
