I'm ok with using TWS, but would be cool to have secure logging on 2 hosts at the same time (e.g. TUS + ONL). If Kawoosh will add this feature I'll start using it :) And the name... no idea, sorry :D

Yep, that would be the best way because the snooper has "hundrets" of very nice settings already and the new wooper will end as a nice remix try maybe. It doesn't always make sense to develop the wheel new again. If you would work together it would have much more quality because a team have more power and ideas than a single guy..
Good luck with it anyway. TWS + Clanchat + REOPEN Feature + less bugs would be perfect.

To all those who say "improve TWS", this is a blind guess but seeing how poorly that snooper got translated (even the German part is messy at some parts), I think the code is a huge pile of garbage. Kawoosh probably wouldn't want to bother reading it all, never mind understanding it. Other than that you don't even know whether or not Lookias wants help from somebody else with his snooper.
Writing a new snooper from scratch sounds better imho. Kawoosh can do it, he's a great programmer - anyone disagree? :P

Actually its not a blind guess. If he fixes bugs, create new options, Imo it would be the best way, besides being faster.
we could vote what should be changed at TWS and what should stand.

Wheat is much better than prsnp,but it does makes my game laggy(if it's opened while playing)
If this new snoop will be better than prsnp and won't make my game laggy,I will defenetly use it :)

Kawoosh is currently actively developing the snooper.

It will also have the tabs feature - you will be able to arrange all the channel windows and chat windows into tabs. Windows will still be possible to choose. It will also be possible to choose a standard (on-channel) PM messaging, or a tabbed (windowed) one.
It will probably have color schemes and will be translatable. Also, support for multichannels, etc.
It will also be able to host with WormNAT2 and reopen with integrated wkRehost (http://worms2d.info/wkRehost), it will also be possible to host on alternative servers. It will have W:A's own codepage.
PS: secure logging is planning to be done after release.

I'd like to remind that this snooper is mostly convenient for oldschool ProSnooper lovers which need simplicity and features in the same time, so it will be the best choice for them.

Don't forget that when you are doing this, and other actions that you shouldn't violate the terms of GPL.
I really doubt that you own some "extra" fixed version with "1400" downloads, because there aren't that much Lithuanian people. The stats (http://stats.worms2d.info/countries.txt) never lie. So as we don't see it in any form, I don't trust you, sorry. Saying that you have it and that you won't give it is a just a childish action, dude. So better be quiet.
PS: as some people have said, and so do I, Wheat Snooper needs to be fully rewritten. Some users call its interface a crap, they get lost in the scrollbars and skins. Also, lookias doesn't mind ever updating it again, as I see - he's inactive during more than a year already. We need a snooper which will be convenient to the many people's needings, and will keep all the important features.

So you're saying that roughly 1400 people from Lithuania are playing WA to an extent that they use a snooper (not every noob is using a snooper is what I'm saying).

That would be worse too, because I hate abbreviations when you don't see what they stand for. The next important step is that I want a Tus-Login / Tus-Snooper / No Fake check. The Tus-Lines are looking cool. Otherwise it won't make sense to install an oldschool snooper.

you probably didn't understand yourself when talking about this, because this snooper isn't done back in 2007. A well feature-packed snooper cannot be called like that.

With oldschool I meant the prosnooper or a prosnooper remix, maybe it was a misunderstanding. I would love a less buged Snooper with twsnooperoptions + new1s. What does KMZ stand for then? Znooper maybe then ;D

Yes, I'm sure there will be both. Standarddesign, Easy and you see clear what to do where and options for Peeps who want more, like what I said :) It doesnt matter if u can configure many things if theres a classicdesign for peeps who doesnt need or want more.
I just love individual things and elaborate work. But as Steps message-answers told us, the new Znooper will be very good too! I just dont want to miss a thing ;)

Hey StepS and Kawoosh, thank you for working on a Snooper. It’s good to have the probably most widely used tool of the community being actively developed after Lookias had unfortunately stopped developing The Wheat Snooper. Weed Snooper looks very much alike The Wheat Snooper. A little bit like an extended version of it. We’ve talked about it, but I again want to mention that forking The Wheat Snooper would maybe accelerate the development process.
Are you thinking about releasing the source code of Weed Snooper? Will it be possible to use or built Weed Snooper on other operating systems than Windows? What’s Weed Snooper licensed under?
I very much like the idea of using tabs instead of new windows. That’s what applications do nowadays. Also the hosts list seems to have some useful features.
You could start off with a revolution regarding the list of contacts in the channel. It’s cluttered with irrelevant and inaccurate information. Ranks have no validity, clan information is rarely given or comes with the nickname anyway. I’d simply display flag and nickname only and have all the other information available via right-click. Playing around with the version information should somehow be prevented.
I’d reconsider the construction of everything above the hosts and contacts lists, it looks cluttered. Also I personally don’t like my OS dependent styles like the title bar or window border to be affected by the skin of the actual application.
Again, thanks for the effort, I really hope the development will continuously bring up new releases. By the way, it’s really discouraging to hear Kawoosh losing interest so often.

This snooper written in C++ with Embarcadero RAD Studio (Borland C++ Builder before).. No crossplatform, but it can work under Wine on Linux systems.. I was planned to open source code when first usable release will be.. But I bored to finish it. May be in 1-2 months I will continue it. May be.........
About lists... Do right click on list header... You can show/hide every column 8). And you can do drag/drop columns to change order.
I don't like border override too.. But I planned to change skin system. Current one have too much bugs and glitches, and I tired with crutches to fix it.
