Title: RuffledBricks doing first WA speedrun in a marathon, Nov 29
Post by: Mablak on November 28, 2021, 12:34 AM
RuffledBricks will be showing off the first ever WA speedrun in a marathon setting on Nov 29! It'd be sweet if he could get everyone's support.

It's for UKSM, Nov 29th at 12 GMT, right here: https://www.twitch.tv/uksmlive

The All Missions Any% run is something both of us have spent a lot of time working on, and it's actually nuts how many improvements we've made. Also if anyone is interested in getting into the speedrun, join us here on discord: https://discord.gg/K9KrXfmuFG

How is he so familiar with the game mechanics and executing them so well? I mean ive never seen the man around here, and knowledge like this takes years to learn.

I would say years to learn to apply in random variable situations, months in a narrow spectrum with easily repeatable setups.  I think beating mablak's mission speedrun times would be infinitely easier than beating the deathmatch speedrun time.  Adapting quickly to new situations is where experience really shines through.

yes, but Ruffle has been speed running WA for some time without the broader WA community knowing about it. I remember commenting on his twitch channel almost a year ago about the whole WA community, tus, discord server etc and he wasn't aware and is now a part of them.

would be cool seeing him do some inter games though!
