Waiting Two-Three Minutes for Petrol to Descend

Today we needed to wait two-three minutes in a game without playing. Reason? Petrol very slowly traveling down a long, indestructible wall. The wind was strong toward the wall, and Low Gravity was enabled.

I have seen this before but not so long. It could potentially last much longer if the wall was longer. Would it not be better if it went faster down or stayed on the wall? Is it a known issue that it can last so long?

I agree that  this is annoying sometimes and it would be good if somehow it be fixed one day. However, map makers can deal with this problem very well, for example:

This map by sbs has pixelated walls that works very well as an "anti-flamelets" system:
