i don't care about previous respect or anything like that, people have a right to a change of identity.

The only problem is previous rankings in the league and using it unfairly in terms of points earned etc.

MI could approve a change of name in that case without it being publicly announced to the community.

If they want to change their name in private so the people running the league know about it and they aren't harming anyone, or secretly playing as multiple people affecting standings, that's good for them, but I still don't like it.

I know it's an extreme scenario, but some people have been extremely rude/malicious, and for them to hide from their past in the faces of the people they offended/affected and those people are clueless to the knowledge this is the person that done bad stuff to them, that's just f**ked up if you ask me.

Imagine after the b2b thing, I pretend to quit WA, take on a different persona, and wormed my way back into b2b(pun, boom!), and these guys were all happy with my alias, then one day they found out it was really me, how do you think they would feel?

If someone is trying to hide their past, for any reason they must feel some shame/remorse for it, so if they can act like a better/different person, at least in my opinion it's more respectful and honorable to confront that and make amends.

I'm not even saying this guy is definitely an alias, I honestly don't know, it's just an explanation of why I can't trust people who alias or hide their past etc.

Illusion, sorry for making a fuss over this, you may for all I know be a legit w2 player that we haven't heard of before, good luck!

There's nothing wrong hiding from the past. The past can be a fuel of negativity that can drive you down, but also a tool to become different version of yourself. What version of yourself is up for you to decide, and if you try to give effort to be better, it shouldn't go unnoticed. People shouldn't add blame to one's failure but instead try to help and review where the faults were made. Communication is key for better understanding.

Why would anyone under alias with a bad past reveal themselves? I think it is irrelevant, because it can bring up many bad memories, and people don't often like this sort of negativity. The past should only be told to someone you fully trust, and if that person likes this new and improved version of you, then you have succeeded in becoming a better self. So in the end, it shouldn't be viewed as a disguise, but a transformation.

Has there been anyone on Worms history to undergo multiple alias?

Komodo, you seem to have some trust issues, and I understand if it is about alias. I can understand the appeal of using an alias. It can be fun and exciting to see people's reaction. All in all it can just be a guilty pleasure of sort. It shouldn't be taken so serious.

Sorry Kradie but I just can't morally agree with that, I see it as cowardly hiding your past and fooling people that you once used to treat poorly.

It depends on the reasoning though, if you want to play using another name just to hide for a couple days, or even just pretend to be someone else to see if you can pass off as a showcase of their skills as long as it's not in any means malicious, ie, extorting information or whatever, then fine.

And of course, more dire situations like you are being bullied or harassed and don't want to be targeted anymore.

What i'm getting at applies to 2 specific scenarios, having multiple accounts or previous accounts still active in a League while affecting current statistics with your current behaviour, and running from a shady past because you can't face consequences like a man.

This is purely my opinion, but to be honest I don't know anything about this guy and i've taken this WAY out of context and I should just shut up now because there is no need to keep this going.

It's all good, I'm not expecting people to agree all the time. We're just having a civilized conversation, are we?

Facing the past like a man? If e.g the past is long and forgotten, then there isn't a need to dig it up. Why would someone come back to Worms with a different name and say ''Yo, I used to be like this and that.'' I don't see the point of it, unless it's been eating that person alive. It is just better to start fresh.

Of course people do alias for malice intent, but these people CAN change too. So judging by your opinion and resentment Komodo, I feel like you've been a victim of many alias and their sinister intent. I've met a few alias myself, so I get how it can sting. Nowadays I usually don't care much if people alias or not, it is their business and I am sure there's a reason why they hide. Some just have a hard time fitting in and wants to try again, but sadly it can be at cost of others too.

Illusion dude seems legit, and I don't want to focus too much energy on second guessing him. He seems cool, we played a few zar last night. All was sweet and good. So if he turns out to be e.g Biscuit, who cares, unless he goes psycho mode again.

Yeah I know it's just a conversation, and nobody is throwing insults or anything, but we're talking about someone else right in front of them without any evidence one way or another so, tbh I feel like i'm being pretty rude for no valid reason so i'm just gonna stop.

Sorry.

Sorry.

Your reasons were valid Komodo, it is who you are and that's a reason enough. I did latch on a little, but I was talking in general terms when it came to alias, not specifically and necessary about Illusion, but everything else and in between.

So what is there to learn from all of this? Not to jump the buttons, and latch on.
