Stoner, you have it back to front. When you host a funner Hysteria with house rules, you should be saying "Piling is illegal here because we are using house rules."

You make it sound like Hysteria actually has rules by standard, and that TUS has an altered version with no rules.

When people host Hysteria, and don't specifically state they are using house rules, people can do anything they want and it's ignorant to treat them with disrespect because they are following the scheme properly.

"Telecow" is a house rule made up by people who are uncomfortable playing Hysteria in it's standard form. Those house rules degrade the level of skill and strategy that balances out luck based on random positions.

The classic and most commonly used Hysteria scheme back in the day has NO RULES, so it's impossible to "cow", and since "cow" means you broke a rule, "telecow" makes no sense.

Just to repeat that, the standard scheme has no rules, it's the version with added rules which is the alternate version.
