[NogardDerNaerok] I think a lot of schemes are just much worse on too simple maps.
[NogardDerNaerok] Even stuff like Hysteria, which everyone specifically plays on totally open islands.
[NogardDerNaerok] Which then means stuff like flame thrower and cow almost never come into play.
[NogardDerNaerok] It's fine though, at some point the game itself will have to address this.

[Lupastic] the map doesnt really decide anything I think btw (: only the crates. and the spawns
[Lupastic] map being open or very closed and blocked dosent add to the crates

[NogardDerNaerok] The more open the map, the more the crates decide it.
[NogardDerNaerok] There's just very little room for skill when you pick up a crate and get to attack basically every turn.
[Echiko`ae] it is just faster imho but also challenging

[NogardDerNaerok] It's like playing fewer hands of poker, basically.
[NogardDerNaerok] The more hands played, the more likely the better players are to come out on top.
[Echiko`ae] it depends. with islands the "hiding" part is somehow missing, because you don't have the whole map covering you, especially if the cavern maps are very articulated
[Lupastic] I dont really agree with ur opinion as "winning on more complex maps is more pro and more deserved" :W at all :o
[Lupastic] a good strategical playa in this scheme could win on any maps

[NogardDerNaerok] Like, by definition.
[Echiko`ae] and moreover it comes for example the personal taste. I like t17 islands. it is innovative. btw I still understand if people like t17 caverns
[NogardDerNaerok] Yeah, caves are the other extreme.
[Echiko`ae] island adds some spicy weapons too, like armageddon and the concrete :D

[NogardDerNaerok] Where it only really makes sense to play for the late game.

[Echiko`ae] exactly. Some players may not like the idea to run to the roof to save themselves from the water

[Lupastic] I enjoy playing t17 in caverns too but.. only one time a month :P or something
[Echiko`ae] but it is also a matter of tastes. at first I didn't like t17 islands, now I like it :D
