Game #233352, reported by Lupastic

Lupastic:
I am glad that with the help of a russian-english translator, you were finally able to post a comment about your idea Sibasa, whilst yesterday evening as we were talking in private on snooper, you weren't able to commentate too much ::) But I think you still weren't able to understand the situation and what the "problem" was here with this. Yesterday I told you that there were no misunderstandings and arguements about the finishing part. While playing the game, we discussed in the chat that finishing means: either touch the word "finish" or touch the butterfly on the left. Both teams agreed to this, it can be seen in the chatlog. Everyone finished legit in the game, except doc, who at the very end failed his last shot, and stopped right before the finish. He didn't touch neither the butterfly on the left, nor the finish letters at the last second, but then next turn MrGusa did, and thus reached finish first (at 6 seconds of his turn time). Doc raged and complained about this a bit, he was the only one. Next turn, he touched finish at 14 second turn time.

And even yesterday I told you that Saint reached finished like 15 turns before MrGusa and doc did, so him NOT touching the butterfly or the word finish doesn't matter, because if he wanted, he had 15 turns to do it and just 1 second to boom himself up, so that might as well counted a finish. This didn't matter.

The question we would have liked to ask of experienced players of boom race ( ::) ) is while playing boom race, the remaining seconds of a turn time matter or not (like in big rope race) and if the turn order matters or not (we started the match, not ob) because if so, ob won. We starting the match, MrGusa reaching finish first with 6 second turntime, and next turn doc finishing at 14 sec.
OR if the remaining seconds of turn time doesn't matter, and the win is determined by simply who touched the finish is what matters, then we FeralSoulzz won because MrGusa touched finish first as 5th player.

That's all :-[ This wasn't clear to us in the actual game and then in the lobbychats, so every one of us wanted to ask the opinion and determine by someone who actually did this before and actually has experience in this, but thanks anyway for your time Siba :-[

I reported this as our win because by standard and default "race rules" it was our clanmate who touched finish first and got the 5th pos, and doc was the last. In the game chatlog I had second thoughts though

Echiko:
I report what ZaLo thinks about it:

okie I checked the whole thing
GonZaLO: [Today at 11:01 AM]
first of all, as soon as you are #1 in your 2vs2 or 3vs3 games, you gotta select White Flag so that your early arrival to the finish line would give more turns to the other teammates
GonZaLO: [Today at 11:02 AM]
you could just hit the Finish line or juts the floor, and use remaining 7 seconds to select White flag
GonZaLO: [Today at 11:02 AM]
I suspect OB clan didn't hint you that to their convenience
GonZaLO: [Today at 11:02 AM]
technically, as long as the rules go, you kinda kinda lost, because you were starting first
GonZaLO: [Today at 11:03 AM]
and you arrived right after as a clan
GonZaLO: [Today at 11:03 AM]
but if they wanted to be chivalrous they would give you a win, because you had more turns to skip when while taking your teammates' turns
GonZaLO: [Today at 11:06 AM]
one sec
GonZaLO: [Today at 11:06 AM]
I will check the part about finish line only
GonZaLO: [Today at 11:09 AM]
they arrived at the finishing line before you, so technically OB clan wins
GonZaLO: [Today at 11:09 AM]
if we are to ignore the amount of your skipped turns
Lupastic: [Today at 11:10 AM]
hmm yep this make sense. well yes before we started we all agreed that the first players who reach finish should skip turns, and not surrender, because if we surrender that would give our teams extra turns and it would be kinda unfair
Lupastic: [Today at 11:10 AM]
but ur point of view of reaching finish and pressingsurrender would be advantageous
GonZaLO: [Today at 11:10 AM]
then what's the benefit of being in hurry for the player who is in the lead?
Lupastic: [Today at 11:11 AM]
well yes I didnt know this xd and Adnan didn't warn me either
GonZaLO: [Today at 11:11 AM]
if he must wait extra 20 turns either way?
GonZaLO: [Today at 11:11 AM]
ah okay
GonZaLO: [Today at 11:11 AM]
remaining 6 or 0 seconds would have mattered
GonZaLO: [Today at 11:11 AM]
if your clans reached the Finish line within the same exchange of turns
GonZaLO: [Today at 11:11 AM]
but they were 1 turn ahead of you sadly
Lupastic: [Today at 11:12 AM]
ok thanks for help ^^
GonZaLO: [Today at 11:12 AM]
more often than not, when I played in 2014-2018 and in Worm Olympics, many people would call arriving in the same exchange of turns = Draw
GonZaLO: [Today at 11:12 AM]
we had this many times with Adnan in Parachute race
GonZaLO: [Today at 11:13 AM]
but there were some singular exceptions to that, and people would put it to the description of their cup, that remaining seconds matter

--- End quote ---

I think we should have surrendered because we lost many turns because of that, I think that at this point we could be winners.

Lupastic:
gg then, ob boyz won this sry about the report (: exchange the winners

Echiko:
Fs playes were lupastic, Echiko and MrGusa, while instead of blitzed there was doc

Lupastic:
3v3 Bungee Race or Supersheep Race as clanner must be a nightmare, I'm sure no one has done it before (for a reason!)

But this is probably the first 3v3 boom race as clanner, in 2022, nice :D
