team17 is mainly a luck scheme no matter if you play the double layer cave or island map, but if you think about it, the cave version is not only more boring and slower, but you need even more luck there to collect SD weapons and wait until the end to use them properly :) while on island you get all kind of crazy shit to finish off the enemy with, and then another kind of skill comes into play next to lucks: knowing what to use and when ;) in my opinion it surely requires more skill. also on island map you can rope thru the whole map cuz it's open, it's roper friendly. you need more skills with the parachute too ^.- while in cave I wouldn't say too much.. you guys would need to adapt your team17 skills onto island map from cave, it's a big change, I guess that's why you would never prefer to play this way. first time I started to play more team17 on island, it was with Deadcode (: eversince then I have always believed this is da waeh

T17 cave is almost all about Sudden Death; that's why I agree with Lupastic about being more boring and no fun (mostly), and the luck factor to be inherent part of T17 generally. T17 island may be quite unfair scheme mainly in initial positions sometimes, but it enables more possibilities of moves because it's open map. I enjoy the risk above safety in that case. I'm used to having already in mole safety in the starting positions (around 95% of cases), so I don't care too much about being more exposed, I guess that's another reason. :p

Well, even in t17 cavern if you have all of your worms on the bottom, you have to necessarily move them towards the ceiling to gain some territory even on the first part of the map. No one wants to leave worms at the bottom when SD is approaching, but when the upper part becomes too crowded, it's there that every move and position can become essential. Other type of skills are required and both have different kind of difficulties. It's, at this point, a matter of taste. I prefer T17 island: I can move more with parachute and rope and death by drowning is the latest of the thoughts, so it becomes more strategical than running towards the ceiling.

Agree with you! The islands will be defined at T17 more random than it already is... and with what is already enough :)
