Game #236417, reported by Senator

(1/1)

Deadcode:
If I'd just clicked the mouse at the end of my turn in the last round, it would've been a draw, with 7 hp damage done to a 3 hp worm.

My hand was shaking a little bit, and I was being careful not to let that move the mouse. But that made it harder to click exactly when I needed to.

As for why I didn't just open at 24:28 when I found I couldn't Girder block, it's because I had decided quite strongly before my turn started that I'd block, and not open. Because if I opened, he still be able to keep Girder blocking me up to 5 more times, and who knows what crates he might get in the meantime. Girder blocking him would guarantee I would win the game on the very next turn. So when it turned out that he was jussst out of range of being able to be blocked with a Girder, I didn't even remember I still had a choice of opening. I remained resolutely determined to execute the plan I'd already decided on.

Anyway, congrats, Senator.

Deadcode:
Here is a way I could have won at 28:18, while trapped under the girder.

It's a pretty unlikely method of winning though. I got lucky on my first try, but it only actually resulted in a win 15 out of 50 tries (30% chance). The second time it worked is pretty fun though (2nd attachment).

A deterministic win that was theoretically possible to do on this turn, with the Homing Missile, is the 3rd attachment. (This may be the hardest TA Homing Missile I've ever aimed. It had to be very, very precise.)

TheWalrus:
amazing games, the last game was great as well, was puzzled when you didnt tele, but ive been known to miss turns because of indecision so i can relate.
