maybe because we got bored of them? But I still use fruits as I suck in making elite maps! :P

Because the people who always played with fruit, who ALWAYS used fruit as the texture, they eventually got tired of it, and therefore the game itself and quit. Now, the rest who enjoy other textures, play with this, and are happy. My theory :P
