why does this golf course have 8 holes despite there being space for a 9th hole?

this was suposed to be a new idea for a scheme instead of the holes there were dots : ''Use grenade to blow the red dots, every dot give you 1 point you can gain maximum of 8 points land is destructable so be careful. If you don`t do damage to the land you can atempt again.Incase you destroy part of the land you have to continue to the next one and get penalty of -1 point. If you plop your worm the turn counts as invalid and you get the minimum of -8 points.'' but i turn it into golf map, becouse i think that idea is stupid. And 8 coz i like even numbers.
