Cups and Tournaments Comments / Re: Cup #1098, (ZaR) Summer BigRR

I can play during the next 6 hours or a few hours before the timer is up.

I haven't seen the players in my group online. Unfortunate time zones?

I updated the module so that it no longer shows the fuse for triggered random mines! Source code not included in order to make it slightly harder to cheat. ::)

Only 9 lines of code were added so the source code above is still more or less up to date.

Edit: Removed because it still provides an advantage in certain schemes.

Try disabling fullscreen optimisations.

Schemes / Re: Shopper rules clarification

It is allowed in all the shopper games you see hosted online every day and it adds a small amount of depth to the gameplay.

Also the reason why you see the same maps so often is because there are very few good ones. Most are essentially empty boxes which make the scheme even more boring than it already is. Play any map more than once and you will quickly discover the most dangerous positions.

Schemes / Re: Parachute in Rope Based Schemes
« on: August 02, 2019, 07:06 PM »
Shopper is better with parachutes. Big RR is slightly better with parachutes. Otherwise I prefer schemes without them.

I should add switches that actuate closer to the top feel more responsive. This applies equally to both optical and mechanical switches. Even small differences can be noticeable.

8
Most manufacturers do not care about input lag. They are content with something that works. Bloody are an exception which is why you can feel the difference.

9
Optical switches are not faster than mechanical switches. Input lag is dependant on the firmware and MCU used.

Any updates on this? I really want to try it out.

Ducky and Wooting.

Also check out Bloody, Cooler Master and Logitech. Why don't you like red switches?

TUS Discussion / Re: Pre-made clans
« on: June 17, 2019, 01:54 PM »
To be fair, TUS is without a doubt one of the most poorly designed sites I have ever seen.

I like the idea of pre-made clans based on the WA team colours.

The roping mechanics have improved a lot since your first video. Did you write a new implementation or did you just play around with the existing parameters?

General discussion / Re: KEYBOARD - Definitive ! +Photos
« on: November 06, 2018, 08:21 AM »
Charles - I would agree with your assertion on the actuation force, but I think the part you are overlooking is the 0.1 MS response time on the switches, far superior to anything out there.  If there was a way to customize the actuation distance, it would make the ultimate switch.

It all depends on the firmware. Making a keyboard with 0-1 ms delay is not that hard. Most commercial keyboards have significantly more delay than that however.
