+ very cheap, can eat a dinner for 5 euro or travel by train all the way across the country for 15 euro,
+ beautiful nature and countryside - although you need to know where to look, as popular places get very crowded in the season,
+ western idea of political hypercorrectness is largely absent from the public attention,
+ natural disasters (volcanoes, earthquakes) are non-existent, extreme weather is rare,
+ overall life is generally decent as long as you're not working like a mule for minimum wage.
- everyone, even your friends, are extremely nosy and judgemental about how you're living your life,
- our government has obvious authoritarian ambitions,
- the catholic church has a massive influence on public life (luckily this is slowly changing),
- public healthcare is a sad joke,
- terrible air pollution in cities during winter.

Logged in to reply to this thread, but then I found out that the previous post I wrote pretty much answered the exact same question, so I'll just quote myself:
I used to play the game 24/7, but the moment I got my first full time job in 2013 was the beginning of the end of my worms "career"I probably would've left at some point anyway since the state of the community seems a bit... boring? Where is everyone? Amazing how the league activity went from a normal 1500-2000 games per season a year ago to basically zero right now... seems like as soon as a significant number of players leave the game, everyone else just follows suit?
The last game in my replays folder is from July 2016, haven't touched worms ever since. I've never been much of a gamer, so I haven't really played other games either. Bought a bunch of classics (Portal, Civ 5 etc.) for fun during the last two christmas breaks, logged ~80 hours and that's about it. I'm probably already at an age when it's really hard to get into a new activity, especially when I have a bunch of other hobbies (astronomy, photography, programming) to fill my free time with.

Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve is great. It needs a considerably powerful CPU, as the free version doesn't use GPU acceleration (as far as I know).

I'm a GPU programmer now, doing mostly science-y stuff (data visualization, parallel computing, I don't really write games), I also make some additional money on the side from selling my photography, but not quite enough to make a living off it :-)

Would've been close to $1200 right now, but I can't complain anywayMy laptop pretty much can't stand the difficulty anymore, so I just went ahead last Friday and bought 65k more doges for $25. I now wish I had spent, like, $2000Has anyone kept them all this time? June's boom on crypto-currencies blew to the moon most of altcoins including doge which is now 10 times more expensive since this topic was open
Wonder what will happen with the price in the next few days. Some guys have been reportedly toying with the exchange rate today, trying to get the market moving. Looks like they had succeded, after some major turbulences the growth seems to be pretty stable again:

« on: January 16, 2017, 02:10 PM »there has never been (to my knowledge) a turn based run speedrun that ive ever seen, they are mostly all fast paced games.
Pokemon?
These consist mostly of walking and turn based combat and are very leisurely paced.
Speedrun.com has an "All Missions" category in Worms Armageddon, but no records at all: http://www.speedrun.com/Worms_Armageddon
I'm sure all 33 missions could be finished in 90 minutes or so.
