General discussion / Re: Who has played WA the most?
« on: January 27, 2021, 05:53 PM »
8667 replays since 08/15/2011 - 90% of my games probably Shoppa, as we know that's the best game ever that only the best pros ;) play.  Otherwise Big RR/Tower.

I had started WA (after a long break from Worms 2), in early 2008 but lost those games with new comp, you know how it goes.  I had crazy amount of games those first years and wish I still had them  :'(

Great to see everyone here!

Oink!

I like your FlyShopper games, thank you for playing & hosting a lot !·D

I play WA online since end of 2009

:D I still use my multi-repaired Worms Armageddon Keyboard: Microsoft SideWinder X4  :-* :-[
yea, i have an ansi version of this

Yes, I read that you wrote about that keyboard and you motivated me to post mine !·D

dennis what is going on with that spacebar man
@DENnis - Holy f@#!, you have a real veteran keyboard there, I bet if you sold that to one of us and we started tapping on it, there would be some vietnam style WormNET flashbacks or something.  :D #PTSDKeyboards

:D Well, uncountable many hours of Tower Races, (Surf-)Shoppers and other rope games. I had to repair my space bar 3 times already and I still play with space bar for rope. Feels still good !·D

I repaired my Roccat Kone [ + ] mouse buttons "Omron D2FC-F-7N", too. They caused a lot of multiclicks. So I replaced them with Omron D2FC-F-7N for 20 million clicks !·D (I don't like that there were even in gaming equipment the cheap ones for max 5 million clicks placed XD)

Time to play friends !·D

Announcements / Re: Worms Armageddon v3.8.1 Released
« on: December 26, 2020, 03:23 PM »
This "hotfix" release addresses most of the worst bugs introduced in v3.8, as well as some more minor issues. It was finished and ready for release on 2020-08-11, intended to be released soon afterward. That is the reason the changelog is so short. But then there were delays beyond our control, and I chose to rebuild it on 2020-11-08 to include some finishing touches to the set of translations.

Work is already in progress on the next release, which will probably be v3.9.

CD-ROM Edition: Download Here
Thank you very much!

Wormkit Modules / wKSurrender !·D - Re: wkKick38
« on: August 23, 2020, 11:56 PM »
- in my opinion this functionality should come standard with base game to avoid shitty kick module implementations like this.
I agree that there is a problem in need of solving here, but not necessarily that this is the best way of solving it. I would be more excited to see a module which forces a player's teams to surrender without disconnecting them, so that they have an opportunity to discuss what went wrong and how they can avoid disrupting games in the future. For malevolent players who continue to disrupt games intentionally, preventing them from entering the game in the first place would be a much better solution. Cases when players behave in a way that's not acceptable regardless of circumstances (e.g. hate speech etc.) should be reported to moderators so that the users are removed from WormNET.

Instead of disconnecting them just let them surrender would be a perfect solution I think. Although there are some trolls or just bad people, I still like to help newbies & it is nice to see there are still new people who just want to play Worms Armageddon and have fun together :-[

Please implement "wKSurrender"  :-*

Thank you!

With "vc_redist.x86.exe" https://support.microsoft.com/de-de/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads it is working. Note: Pressing Fx for players name and replace msg with kick + remove blank after players name.

*edit*

...fails to load with CD-v3.8 and win7 x64:

Same (fails to load with CD-v3.8 and win7 x64) here, too  :( :(.

I like to show people how to play, but sadly there are trolls who just hate everybody and destroying some games, so it is important to have a kickmodule.

Sadly Mega`Adnan didn't answer to my PMs. Who can delete it from my pending games?

Thank you very much <333  :-*

One bug: After using SuperSheep the CTRL+Home (always centered worm) doesn't work for my next turns. When I watch the others "centered worm" is still working, but not in my turns. Any idea?

To judge something from the changelog (which is quite outdated now and missing several things) is one thing, but to try it is something very different.
Even if you don't take into account all the extended scheme options, you will still want to launch the game every now and then due to how incredibly smooth the ninja rope now is. (especially on 144 Hz, but even on just 60 Hz the difference is huge)
Also, Deadcode isn't stopping any time soon and is expecting to start pushing many smaller updates that will take months rather than years.

Also, as announced previously on Discord, I will be sponsoring several Worms contests after the release of 3.8:
  • Worms Scheme Contest 2020 - starting with a $200 prize pool with the possibility of more contributions
  • Worm Olympics (Summer/Fall/Winter - TBD) - there will be a prize pool and everyone will be able to win a % based on performance. The tournament will feature brand-new schemes from 3.8. More details later when it's 100% finalized.

Very nice & thank you very much, StepS <333
