Leagues General / Adding Wascar to free league
« on: June 18, 2017, 05:31 PM »
Why not? Since Big RR is gone, and Wascar was always popular in WO.

UC / New different free league idea
« on: February 05, 2017, 04:53 PM »
I tried to edit poll from old thread but I couldn't because I didn't have Moderator rights. So I opened new thread here in UC forum.

People opposed to remove schemes idea so I came up with this new idea to make Playoffs competitive while keeping schemes. I think this idea is more reasonable.

Suggested changes
* All schemes are kept but to make playoffs competitive, we introduce scheme classes system. I explained it below.
* Bo7, because scheme classes system won't work on Bo5.
* 60 days long seasons just like old times.
* Overall reset done like on Classic League.

Scheme Classes
Bashing on a 5 games PO games with 21 scheme options is inevitable. To prevent this I suggest this for playoffs:
* There will be 6 scheme classes you can pick in Playoffs
* Each player can only pick one scheme from each classes.
* Best of 7 playoffs.

So the six scheme classes are:
* Abnormal/Intermediate/Elemental
* Aerial/Golf/Forts/Walk for Weapons
* Kaos/Mole Shopper/Capture the Flag
* Plop War/Mine Madness/Holy War
* Big RR/Darts/Boom Race/Bungee Race
* Super Sheep Race/Battle Race/Jetpack Race/Parachute Race

Leagues General / New Free League
« on: February 03, 2017, 01:57 PM »
If you vote No, or disagree with one thing, please share your thoughts so we can elaborate this idea to make it something everyone can agree.

We already kinda hijacked Hysteria thread  with new free league idea, some people seem to interested with the idea so I decided to start a separate poll.

Suggested changes
* Removing unpopular schemes and lowering total amount of schemes to 8. Possible 8 schemes is given below.
* Best of 7 playoffs
* 60 days long seasons instead 90.
* Resetting overall stats just like Classic league(and keep them archived like old Classic League overall), makes sense considering most of the free league schemes would be gone.

8 schemes of new Free League
1- Darts: Even though Darts added to Free League later on, still it's the most played Free League scheme. It is luck-free, easy to learn and hard to master perfect non-Classic scheme.

2- Big RR: A luck-free racing scheme. Most popular rope scheme on WormNET after Shopper and WxW.

3- Aerial: Hysteria like scheme added to Free League later on like Darts. Really popular, even had its own league with Hysteria(HAL). But I suggest to remove crate drops to make it more professional.

4- Abnormal: Also added later on to Free League. Scheme is almost identical to Intermediate with one twist: You kill your own worms. Most newbies know Intermediate, so Abnormal might be an interesting concept for them.

5- Intermediate: Everybody knows this scheme. It is quite popular on Free League too.

6- Kaos: A really unorthodox ground scheme. Rubberworm features it uses can do great job to lure new players. Komo argued because it requires you to install Rubberworm and League should be as simple as possible for newcomers, but imo if you discovered this site and want to participate the leagues, installing Rubberworm shouldn't be a problem.

7- Bungee Race: Another racing scheme. It was fairly popular and has more than enough maps(only HusH made at least 50 maps) to avoid map whoring.

8- Boom Race: Last scheme of the list. Just like Bungee it is more popular than other racing schemes and the idea racing to finish by shooting yourself with various weapons is definitely an interesting concept for new players.

Why x scheme excluded? I am triggered.
Mole Shopper: I was planning to add it because it seemed popular on stats, but when I checked overall I realized it was used by people who solely picks Mole and/or people who played it is now inactive.

Others: At least one of these applies:
- Big luck factor
- Low amount of dedicated maps which leads to map whoring
- Not popular enough

Don't worry, excluded schemes can still gather players via Cups, Tournaments etc.

Why 8 schemes? Why not more?
Reason I wanted 8 schemes is to make Free as competitive and compact as possible. In a Bo7 4:3 PO game, 7 out of 8 would be played. If you have a lot scheme, you'll stick with your favorite ones and ignore other schemes just like currently on TFL. Not to mention some schemes has huge luck factor and allows map whoring because low amount of dedicated maps, a great example would be Plop War. That's why having 8 schemes might motivate players to master all Free schemes and it will make Free a more credible and competitive league. Also fewer schemes might be better for newcomers because there will be less schemes they'll have to learn.

Sorry if I made any typo or grammar mistakes.

Steam just introduced Steam Awards. There are plenty categories, but one of them hit me, "The Best Use Of A Farm Animal Award". So the reason I think we should vote WA:

1) It makes bloody sense. Super Sheep, Sheep Strike, Mad Cow etc. It really used farm animals well. xD

2) If WA happens to win the award, it'll get a bit more recognition and we can get new players. And believe me, people who buy WA on steam usually knows English unlike the Russians which torrents the game.

So ayy I was tryna find some ppl for wxw funner and sum local fuccboi from harlem joined my host. I hit the light and game was on. He was overwhelming better on rope and I was shocked when he revealed he had a non-default sized big enhanced limb for roping. Not his right hand, or left hand. He got a mechanical dick that has more horsepower than a 2016 Ford Fiesta. Holy f@#!ing shit. Just because he's a Gulf War veteran that has replaced his severed dick doesn't mean he can use it on WA! I know you'll say use wkDickComparison and set dick size to low so it'll warn when opponent got huge dong. But this guy's unusual dick structure will bypass it. I know it's rare, as rare as having Albino. So let's call it Albino case. Will we allow this hentai knock off Bionic Commando to use his dick on keyboard like Dhalsim's attack? Will mod finally update rules?

Conclusion: This is how big map complains started looking like to me, please staff update the rules.

Build a PC / Triad's PC Builds ($300 - $2000)
« on: September 12, 2016, 10:10 AM »
Hello TUS

I sometimes help people at reddit for building PCs. I help them to pick right components for their needs. So I thought maybe I can come up with some build presets from different price ranges so people can pick one for their next step to PC gaming.

P.S: Prices might change as the time passes, click on PcPartPicker list of each level to see latest lowest prices for USA.

Level 1 (~$250)
Cheap PC build without a dedicated graphics card. You should be able to play all old games and most not so new games at lowered settings.

Level 2 (~$420)
1080p entry level gaming, CS:GO, LoL, DOTA2 should run great. I added a cheap 120GB SSD so you can install your OS here. I also added a dedicated GPU.

Level 3 (~$580)
The console killer. You can run almost all latest games at 1080p medium/high settings with 60fps. Much better CPU than Level 2. Bigger but still cheap SSD. If you'll have space issues, you can always buy and install a HDD.

Level 4 (~$750)
1080p high-ultra settings. This is where gap between consoles and PC becomes much bigger. Quad core CPU, higher quality PSU, much better GFX. You can get a freesync monitor if you go with the RX 480. And freesync monitors are much cheaper than Nvidia's G-sync monitors.  This is probably best bang for buck build currently.

Level 5 (~$1150)
1080p/1440p Ultra settings, VR Ready. i5-6500 replaced with i5-6600k. And since 6600k is an overclockable, I added an aftermarket cooler since stock cooler might not keep up with overclocking. Motherboard is replaced with a higher quality one. I also put 2x8gb RAM. Previous good bang for buck SSD is replaced with quality M2 SSD. Also put a better case. GTX 1070 won't let you down.
