Kradie, you're not cynical. Just uninformed and unexperienced.
Everyone who ever participated in tus league knows that summer is always worst part of the year regarding activity.

Coming onto a forum of a dying league saying league is dying doesn't make you smartest dude around, either.
Then again, I've been saying that the league was dead as a doornail for a while.

@Triad @Kaleu, your requested maps are deleted.

I have them, but they're the same map. The only difference is that one is high-color, while the other is low-color. However, they're giant. In fact, they are over 7MB combined. How should I send them?!

Please upload them to some site and give me the download link. This site works.
Here's the map(s)

the most important question is:  will my  grandchildrens live to try some 3.8?
Hopefully, they won't even be BORN before 3.8 comes out, but I might be optimistic. As far as we know, 3.8 might come out on the same day as Half Life 3, which is in the year 1 ATE (After Time Era).

Your best bet is just browsing through the Steam store and look for something you like the look of and trying it.
Unless you are on the Epic Games Store, but then again, they're the Chinese knockoff of Steam. Plus, the Epic Games Store isn't good. AT ALL. In fact, it makes EA Origin look like a Game Preservation Archive.

TUS Discussion / Re: Donations

Is there a way to donate beside PayPal? It's unavailable here.
Nice necro
Also, Bitcoin should be implemented. That way, any idiot can just convert their own Shitcoin to Bitcoin and donate to a Zombie Worms Armageddon League.

Since I graduated from High School last tuesday, I have an update on my skill levels.
I hope you redeem yourself from the below 50% activity rate from cups
I don't have time, because of my daytime schedule. I live in the American Pacific timezone, while many of you are from Europe. When I'm awake, some of you are sleeping. However, I'll try my best.

I've said it before:

1. Add unicode support (chinese etc)
2. Make a wormkit module that automatically translates chat to the player's language
Unicode support is easier said than done, due to the fact that this game actually uses a bitmap font. If you want to add more text, you'll have to either make the image of the bitmap font bigger (which would mean taking the file and designing all letters from the ground up) or switch to a vector font (which doesn't support the outlines that this game has, and might BREAK compatibility with older versions and replays unless the ancient bitmap font is kept.). Either way, it would be a chore to do, and would only set back development of the vital 3.8 update.
As for the translation, maybe we should put that functionality in a snooper to see if it works. Plus, how will it translate text? Google Translate? That wouldn't work if you don't have the internet! That would also be another slog of a feature to do, and there might be bad translations. Maybe doing it in Wormkit is alright, but we should test in a snooper to see if it works or not. Everyone playing this game speaks English Anyways, so we could make. If it's done in WormKit, 3.8 might actually BREAK it. Then, you'll have to make a new version for 3.8, and some players might become dinosaurs sticking to 3.7 in the meantime, which we can already see with 3.6 and Project X, which is a WormKit module which sadly hasn't been updated for 3.7, basically forcing players to use an older version. I know I rambled on in that sentence, but I was just explaining my point.

tl;dr - These would be difficult to implement, and would waste time better spent on getting 3.8 out, which is necessary if we want this game to not become a ghost town.

Since I graduated from High School last tuesday, I have an update on my skill levels.

DEFINITELY Ain't a pro, my skill level in a nutshell:
Aerial: I'm pretty much average, OK.
Big RR: I suck at this, and I HATE losing control.
BnG: I'm not THAT good, but I know the rules.
Elite: Not that good, but not total suck.
Hysteria: Average, basically.
Intermediate: Slightly above average
Roper: Far Below Average
Shopper: Below average
Team17: Not the best at this, but I'm not the worst either.
TTRR: I suck, but at least I can get from start to finish on easier maps.
WxW: I am AWFUL at WxW! I can barely hit 2 walls, let alone 3 or more.

Abnormal: Pretty decent, I play best with this.

Leagues General / Re: What the hell happened?
« on: June 08, 2019, 05:48 PM »
You think THAT is bad? Our current season has lasted ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY DAYS and we have only played 384 games (378 singles; 6 clanners)! Compare that to a season of Classic back in the day (around 30 days, with far more matches.), and you can see that calling TUS a shadow of its former self is a MASSIVE understatement. TUS is a rotting corpse of its former self, and we have had more games in the entire history of TNL (which is HIDDEN from the public and you have to know the URL to access). In case you're wondering what that is, it's 455 games (419 singles; 3 clanners; 33 squads games). Yes, the singles of that failed experiment ALONE beat what we have this season. If we want TUS to be successful again, we have to hope that 3.8 comes out soon, because the community needs it at this point.

TUS Discussion / Re: Pre-made clans
« on: June 08, 2019, 05:38 PM »
There are too many clans here on Worms Armageddon, there are too many members in them, and many of these members are inactive. As a result, the league remains inactive. So how about; move all current clans, status, and members to a legacy section, and have 4 pre-made clans that will allow max 6 or 10 members People can choose whatever clan they want be in, but can only change a clan once a season. Minimum members for a clan to partake in league, must be 4 members, but if the 4th member wants to change clan, then that person cannot, unless if there are more members that exceeds 4. If a member has been inactive or not have played at all for a season or more, that person gets automatically removed. There will be no leaders for a clan, perhaps only a moderator or one global league moderator. Name of each clan could reflect the team color of WA, Red Assault, Blue Haven, Green Phoenix, & Yellow Stars. Though it is purely figurative, any name could work, and be voted for.

This could make everything more compact and focused, instead of having everything spread across the map. Because as it is now, it is spread, and it is harder to find a game. If everything gets closer, the easier it could be to find games to play.

What do you think? Could this be a good or a bad idea?
We tried it before, it was called Country Games. Nobody played them, so it died. If this is implemented, TUS will be even deader than it already is. And TUS is a rotting carcus of its former self right now, so nobody will play if this is done.

wHeN WiLL YoU ReLeAsE iT GuYs?!?!!!111ONE
Hopefully before the end of the year, at the latest. The last thing we need is the community dying, and this might be what saves it. Now, I would prefer they release it now, but they may or may not be done. I really care about this game's future, and if it dies, there would be a hole in my life that would never be filled. I hope they can release this soon. It is a real detriment to the community that we've waited this long for an update.

By the way, I graduated High School last Tuesday.

Do you have your other 2 mole shoppers?

I assume you've tried the "slow frontend workaround" option in advanced settings..

Told him that. Didn't help. Weird problem.
Maybe he installed a virus, or worse: Windows 10.

You need to move past shite like replay save files
Excuse me, what? How would I do gifs then? And how would a league function without replays? You're not going to say "just record the games", right?
I agree, and on top of that, many excellent (and terrible) moments in this game's history would be LOST. If you don't like replays, try watching the silent films of early cinema. Only 10% have survived to this day. If we don't want the Worms Armageddon game to be like that, we have to keep the replay functionality.
