Your reasons were valid Komodo, it is who you are and that's a reason enough. I did latch on a little, but I was talking in general terms when it came to alias, not specifically and necessary about Illusion, but everything else and in between.

Why would someone come back to Worms with a different name and say ''Yo, I used to be like this and that.'' I don't see the point of it, unless it's been eating that person alive. It is just better to start fresh.

Of course people do alias for malice intent, but these people CAN change too. So judging by your opinion and resentment Komodo, I feel like you've been a victim of many alias and their sinister intent. I've met a few alias myself, so I get how it can sting. Nowadays I usually don't care much if people alias or not, it is their business and I am sure there's a reason why they hide. Some just have a hard time fitting in and wants to try again, but sadly it can be at cost of others too.

Illusion dude seems legit, and I don't want to focus too much energy on second guessing him. He seems cool, we played a few zar last night. All was sweet and good. So if he turns out to be e.g Biscuit, who cares, unless he goes psycho mode again.

There's nothing wrong hiding from the past. The past can be a fuel of negativity that can drive you down, but also a tool to become different version of yourself. What version of yourself is up for you to decide, and if you try to give effort to be better, it shouldn't go unnoticed. People shouldn't add blame to one's failure but instead try to help and review where the faults were made. Communication is key for better understanding.

Why would anyone under alias with a bad past reveal themselves? I think it is irrelevant, because it can bring up many bad memories, and people don't often like this sort of negativity. The past should only be told to someone you fully trust, and if that person likes this new and improved version of you, then you have succeeded in becoming a better self. So in the end, it shouldn't be viewed as a disguise, but a transformation.

Komodo, you seem to have some trust issues, and I understand if it is about alias. I can understand the appeal of using an alias. It can be fun and exciting to see people's reaction. All in all it can just be a guilty pleasure of sort. It shouldn't be taken so serious.

WA community is small, so I think it can be reasonable to assume that people we have never seen might be a potential alias. A bit of a unfortunate affair. But now that I think of it, in Illusion's case, it seems like he's from the old Worms 2 clan TMNR The Mutant Ninja Ropers. The leader (Or one of the members of this clan), came up with a script for Worms 2 that allowed players to exceed the numbers of rope swings, so that the player could have infinite taps. A pretty cool idea of its time and an achievement of the roping evolution. I did play with one of the members sometime ago, he seemed like a chill guy, we had fun, unfortunately I forgot his name.

I disagree. That's clean reproducibility. If anything, a system that would generate 10 winds and then mirror them shuffled between players without that mirrored repetition of the same shot after shot would make more sense when it comes to fairness and not taking away that element of suprise.

This is what I've been saying before. Veteran players often relies on their past & nostalgia to find a comforting foothold in today's WA. Despite being an old school myself of the early-mid 2000, I am able to adapt in the modern WA society. I am sure that this new update will generate a temporal influx of new, existing and old players. Perhaps a lot of them will find a reason to stay. Unfortunately if you want to be competitive, you need to rely on external services like The Ultimate Site, this can be off putting for some, and this alone divides the player base. We are already witnessing it, a small inactive league with the regular cynics with the inability to change over time and only will recognize those with high ranks, while the rest in WA are committed to funners. Of course this my own hypothesis and experience. A built in league system in WA could alleviate the gap between players.

When it comes to the mirrored wind, it is a novel idea, nice option to have, but I think in the end for me, I also like the element of surprise.
I'm guessing a lot of the current schemes could use a little tweaking and updating. I think the entirety of WA community should be involved with these sort of things. It would be very egotistical for a group of people to decide how popular main schemes should be shaped & played. Then again, some could argue ''Well Kradie, if you let n00bs and non-competitive players vote and give their ideas, it could break the existing schemes completely! Imagine Donkeys in Intermediate!'' Sure, if such argument are to be made, I would say; Yeah sure I get it, and that is why we need a proper voting template for people to follow. Such template would be shaped on popular opinions and ideas suggested by anyone.
Then again, maybe none of this is necessary, and perhaps all existing schemes are fine as they are. Though, I guess most of us agrees that TTRR needs zero wind...

Most people from the league are more inclined to follow the league setup & rules. So I don't feel comfortable enough to ask for a replacement scheme because of that.
