Off Topic / Re: Netflix - Real Rob

I actually liked Adam Sandler ''The Do-Over''.

Netflix is nice, it has a lot of original content.
Sadly Norway don't have the same access as Americans.

No one came to my tournament last night. But that's ok, I expected as much. It comes to show that as you said, not everyone doesn't enjoys the same scheme. Funny enough, 2 people joined my ZaR roper host right after I postponed the tournament, which btw was lurking in AG :P

Anyway, Komodo you're on to something. There's not much of us left, so why bother to do challenges? They almost seem pointless if there aren't enough people to acknowledge the hard work people put into them. Or anything else for that matter.

Tech Support / Re: Network lags
October 12, 2017, 03:49 PM
If it sound like I come out as ungrateful, but I'm not. The lag through Wormnat2 is still ever so persistent as before. What is going on CyberShadow? We're way past end of September, and halfway through October. Are there anything new to report regards to the relentless lags?

Thanks.

General discussion / Re: Worms at 144hz +

I myself use a 75hz monitor, I definitely experienced a difference from 60hz in terms of smoothness and responsiveness.

Hope to see you all again next time! :)

Special thanks to Komodo for filling in :)

My problem is that Senator had the audacity to desync the tournament.  When you join a tournament you take responsibility, and stick with it, because people will be counting on you to see it through. Senator didn't respect this at all.

We will play FINAL tomorrow surely ;)
That's good lales, thank you :)

Now there's something that I don't understand, why would Senator, deliberately interrupt the ongoing tournament for ''playoffs'' with lalo? Couldn't Senator wait instead of requesting one of the participant of the tournament to play with him? I find it distasteful and unethical at how a moderator could just be allowed to intervene with the competition. Indeed it is all good and well that both lales and lalo agreed to postpone the match, but my point remains, arrogance and lack of principles should not overrule the fundamental laws of respect.

Senator & Lalo's game(s) weren't even reported at the time of this post.

I just want to try and understand Senator's reasoning, that's all.

I apologize to everyone that I didn't think about the inevitable lag with Wormnat2. I should had provided scheme number so that anyone could be able to host with HostingBuddy. In future tournaments this will be sorted out. Though I cannot guarantee hostingbuddy's behavior.

Ladies... LADIES! Look at you all, typing cynical words of doom. Worms Armageddon isn't dying, it is your need that is not met, and WA doesn't give it to you anymore. Why is this you wonder? Perhaps the lack of players? Hmm, let's look around, no old school, no familiar faces, no skilled players that YOU know about. OH but wait! What about that user that plays something I don't like? Or that person who hosted a scheme I enjoy but I don't bother to join? Many of these users aren't here on TuS. TuS may be infrastructure of its own, but there's a lot of footwork outside of it. I advice you to go look for it!

But no, here you all are, sitting here telling how much Worms has died and that it's inevitable. So what? Still you are here, inextricable drawn back, just to repeat the circle of death again. Some intellects have other prioritize to follow, and worms may not be on the top 10 to do list. So it makes you sad that you do not have what the rest  might have, consequently encouraging you to make sense of your own life.

But do not feel discouraged, as I said in another thread, follow what makes sense to you. IT is all about you and your happiness, and not others.

Gaming Central / Re: Innovation in games

If you only prioritize gaming/passion and disregard everything else such as work, bills, food, and day rhythm, then yes that's a serious problem. But if you can moderate it and not let it interfere with your prioritize, then there's nothing wrong with it.

Games isn't a disease, but society, people can be toxic without knowing it. Your motives, action and behavior can affect other people in an unfavorable way, even if it is intent or not. This can lead to unpleasant outcome, such as a divided community.

I obviously thought you didn't. So I apologize about that.

What if they aren't addicted?

Then they aren't addicted...?

My point was that, if someone is committed to something, it doesn't necessarily make them addicted.
