I voted ''No chute, no LDET.'' so I could see the results. This was before I could see the screenshot in this thread.

While this thread has served its purpose, I must add that I am surprised how easy people want things to be.

We need more 2 man clans
It is 2 people clan. Or maybe ''2 none referring entities''.

dF, ICB, MV, STF, and TdC.

Investigate these clans, and choose your preferred one.

I think MV might be a good choice.

I don't play much league but I could offer some of my thoughts.

40s, LDET on, batty rope on.
This will be all about speed. The fastest player would easily win just as they would in TTRR.

No chute, no LDET.
This will be all about consistency. Sure you can be fast if you want, but the risk of fail ''can'' be equal to both, depending on skill Imo.

But with all things. Even if something is difficult for a less skilled person, they must learn to overcome the obstacle.

Choose wisely of the options in the poll.

Question: If a change is made to the league scheme, would this change HB's scheme's version?

Unrestrict Rope, to my understanding, this is a hidden setting in WA that simulates Worms 2 rope, basically it makes the rope faster.

I have played with this rope a few times since the release of WA 3.8, that also Includes recently. So that made me think ''Why hasn't players adapted to this rope? Why hasn't there been attempts to Implement this rope to current and new schemes?''. and ''Why is there little Interest in it?''.

Personally, I have no qualms with Unrestrict Rope, I actually quite like it. I already have knowledge of rope so because of that, the transition from ordinary rope to unrestrict rope wasn't that difficult. Sure, I am not going to lie, the sensation was a bit strange, but I got used to it.

Thoughts?

I have heard about similar stuff about wireless too, that It has Improved significantly over the years, and that it matches that of a wired one, perhaps a step above or could be sometime in the future. Nevertheless, we live in exciting time of technologies.

I have been eyeing on some wireless peripherals that Includes headphones too and it is all for the sake of convenience and aesthetics. Though I have always been sworn to wired when it comes to headphones because it is cheaper and delivers better audio quality that of wireless. But what worries me is the rope sound delay, it could mess up the perception. Thoughts? Sorry for slight off topic, I could had named this topic for ''Wireless peripherals for Worms Armageddon'' heh.

Wireless keyboards are fine for roping when used in 2.4 Ghz connection. Generally, only Bluetooth has horrible latency so I'd avoid that. With that being said, there are a couple options that meet the criteria:

1. Logitech G915 / TKL. Low latency in 2.4 ghz connection and long battery life (can go for several months without charging). However, keycaps will develop shine over time and switches can't be replaced: if a switch breaks after warranty period you won't be able to fix it.
2. Keychron K5 Max / K1 Max. Very customizable keyboard: switches and keycaps are replaceable. Comes with QMK/VIA support which allows to remap keys, create macros, key combinations and so on. Very well built overall: high quality double-shot PBT keycaps, switches and stabilizers are factory lubed. In terms of noise level it is comparatively quiet: I have a K3 Pro which is almost identical to this keyboard and I was surprised to find how quiet it is. Even Logitech K120, a membrane keyboard, is louder. However, battery life leaves a lot to be desired - it can only work for about a week without charging. Also, backlighting on it is useless because it doesn't shine through keycaps.

There are other options but I've only watched reviews or had personal experience with these two.
Interesting. Thank you for the Info. I've been thinking about wireless for sometime. Though i am wondering if Logitech is thinking of releasing a successor to their G915, hmm.

General discussion / Wireless Keyboard For Roping?
February 14, 2024, 04:36 PM
Long ago back in 2015 I had a cheap wireless keyboard, and it was shit for roping. I learned that wireless wasn't the answer for roping. Fast forward today I wonder if there are any wireless keyboard that can be used for roping, and still rope like you normally would on a wired? Such as Logitech G915 TKL. Any thought on it or any wireless keyboard in general?

That's it for now.
